I’ve owned this book for years and had perused parts of it. But this is the first time I read it through. The writing is a bit confusing in the beginning, but the descriptions and explanations of the paintings are excellent. I have always loved Dali’s work, but this book made me appreciate him even more.

A great book depicting Dali's work. Good explanation of his painting's inspiration and meaning as well as the several artistic phases we went through.
Just wished it had more details on Dali's personal life.
(loved the size of the book and type of paper, color..)

Large, glossy, good quality reproductions and excellent ongoing elucidation of Dali's "paranoiac criticism" technique, which is lacking elsewhere.

One of the artists of Surrealism. An example of an artist from a particular movement.

Great book about a bunch of Dali's works and the inspiration/story behind them. I wish there was more analysis of each work though and not just about the inspiration.
