Great stories. I could identify with with some of the characters. I am glad the twins asked God for guidance, and followed His directions. It's sad to think that all the daughters found their freedom in the west, but their father died a slave to alcohol. I highly recommend this series!
The writer wrote heart into all the characters, both in having the ladies find themselves getting out of their uncomfortable situations and finding the loves of their lives through hardship and sometimes some suffering, but that special man found them, or rather they found that special man!
Happiness always has a price and takes work and endurance whether romantic or reuniting of families. It has little or nothing to do with riches nor good looks, but honesty is required. This series touches on finding true happiness, through beautifully written stories, well described, yet flawed characters and the various paths taken.
