Coffee With A Coffin: Permanent Lessons From The Impermanence Of Life

Rate this book
An invaluable resource and essential reading for ‘anyone who is alive’!

There is only one certainty in life—Death. No one is immune from it. And yet we still find it difficult to talk about it. It remains a taboo subject and when faced with it, people turn to things they believe will shield them from it. But avoiding talking about death doesn’t prevent it from happening and only perpetuates our fears and false assumptions surrounding it.

Coffee with a Coffin aims to change this narrative and the way we view death and, in turn, life. Through edifying anecdotes and real-life stories, the author gives readers an eye-opening perspective on death and highlights the immense capabilities of man once he accepts his mortality. The book combines inspiration, humour, and intelligence to showcase the significance of acknowledging our impermanence to lead a more meaningful/fruitful and fulfilling life.

In a nutshell, Coffee with a Coffin is an invitation to redefine your life by discovering what it truly means to be alive!

Coffee with Coffin

I took good amount of time completion this book because I was trying to absorb each page and thoughts in it.

As Human we have unique ability to stimulate different scenarios in our mind which may never happen. But this ability gives as the power to think beyond what we have seen or experienced.

Death ☠️💀 as subject is not talked about mostly in our family. That's why we never learnt to accept it as end destination for life as journey. Ultimate truth is that only.

Even Gautam Buddha's Father also tried to hide this reality from his son. But ultimately we all will have to face it. That "Smashan Vairagya" - Realisation at cremation ground about the truth of Life and Death will eventually happen to all.

It's just that who holds the thought and dare to think again deeply about it without any rubbish shock and fear will eventually learn from it and live better than one don't realise that.

This book contains lot of other stuff related to the main subject - death. The storytelling, examples and illustrations are amazing. I'll read it again and will also try to atleast read few pages in a week to keep reminding me about reality of life.
