Shirou Emiya, a student who had been adopted as a child by a magus, discovers he is entangled in a war among chosen magi for a holy grail, and must rely on the protection of his bodyguard, Saber.
So far, the story is far more intense with Shinji playing a much bigger role within it. Another great bit about the story is how it shows just why Saber stands and fight alongside Shiro. Shiro had the same ideals that once guided Saber. Another aspect about the book that I really like is Shinji using the spell book to cast magic. In Unlimited Blade Works it goes over the fact that Shinji and his family are losing their magic and have gone from being one of the three major families to a lesser family now.
The battle comes to end with Saber unleashing her noble Phantasm against Riders. This is how the battle comes to an end in Stay Night, the first route.
shiro doesnt want shinji to die but rin says its the only way.
Rin is dynamic. she is strong, smart and mean. (cant think of a better word than mean sorry) page 54 "I never imagined you would get in our way and defend that monster Youve broken our alliance and i cant see any reason to patch it up."
once a monster always a monster.
dont use reading strategies.
i loved the book/series.
Library wont let me check out books lets see if they will change there mind.
Best. Volume. Ever. Saber and Emiya and Shinji (tho he's still a total dickwad) and Rin and DEM NOBLE PHANTASMS. Including the coolest cliffhanger to a volume yet. Saberrrrr let me love youuuuu~
(I used to write actual coherent volume-by-volume reviews of manga but Type-Moon has destroyed that ability within me whoops.)
