Tony Kim works in a magic shop. Not the sort that sells card tricks. This is real magic. Something's going on. There's a demon skull, an evil cult, a blood moon rising, a werewolf with attitude. Can Tony find out what's happening and stop it?
This was a bit disappointing. The main character is in his late teens, which would make it YA, but it feels more like middle-grade. That could be because it was written for struggling readers. I must say, the layout and writing style are probably very suitable for the target group. Unfortunately, the tension and 'horror' got stuck at middle-grade level too. It was all a bit mellow. It could have been so much more exciting. I'm used to more tension from E.E. Richardson. The story itself was okay, although a bit short. There were some cool things in it, like spells and magical objects. But overall, not very satisfying. 2,5 stars
Inte den bästa boken jag läst, men bra för att vara en kort story. Känns dock att det missas mycket och att slutet kunde varit bättre. Men men inte alla korta storys behöver ett bra slut.
