Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson was a Scottish novelist, poet, and travel writer, and a leading representative of English literature. He was greatly admired by many authors, including Jorge Luis Borges, Ernest Hemingway, Rudyard Kipling and Vladimir Nabokov.

Most modernist writers dismissed him, however, because he was popular and did not write within their narrow definition of literature. It is only recently that critics have begun to look beyond Stevenson's popularity and allow him a place in the Western canon.

Черната стрела - Ако бях прочел тази книга в младежките си години, Войната на розите щеше да е любимият ми исторически период.

Д-р Джекил и мистър Хайд - любопитно е да се види как тази история е преходното стъпало, което ще ни донесе Лъвкрафт едно поколение по-късно.

Историята за "черната стрела" щеше да е по-интересна ако беше 100тина страници по-кратка.
А "Доктор Джекил и Мистър Хайд", можеше да е по-дълга, но определено ми допадна, че е различна от всички филмови интерпретации, които съм гледала(а те са поне 10)
