This book picks up where #21 left off. I did not read that, so I got off track at first. It pretty much makes sense without the previous book. 'Til Death Do Use Part is the tag line on the back. Our Apache hero, Cuchillo Oro marries his true love, a white woman. He sets up a home and works the land. Another tribe of Apaches comes to him and tells him that an enemy is across the border in Mexico planning to raise a small army and return to kill him and take his woman.
The enemy is left over from book #21. Don't know to much about him and the grudge. There was a lot more, if you want to call it romance, than usual in these books. As always, though, there was blood and gore. It flies by at just under 200 pages. Not much fluff.
