Step-by-step advice on watering, feeding and choosing the right container, as well as instructions on division, layering, cuttings and propagation techniques.
A fairly comprehensive guide to houseplants of the world, with plenty of pictures. There are chapters on plant types, plant care, multiplication and caring for sick plants as well as sections on alternative growing methods, such as in terrariums and conservatories. Also included is an A-Z directory of plants, with quick information plus a photo of each species. It's a good, solid, well-researched reference book if that's what you need. I would have appreciated more information and photos on creative ways to show off the plants to their best advantage.
