A young sumo wrestler hears a cry for help and jump to the rescue of a girl from a bully. While showing some of his wrestling moves, he defeats the bully and saves the victims. It is a great book for boys and girls as well who might or is interested in sumo wrestling as it ends with some of the moves used in that sport.

Cartoonish picture book about a sumo wrestling super hero. Very bold, colorful and blotchy illustrations highlight this book about the Japanese art of sumo wrestling.

The story will likely appeal most to young boys, although our girls thought it was okay. I picked the story out since I just went on a business trip to Japan, but it wasn't exactly what I thought it'd be.

Crazy, colorful illustrations. Boys will go bananas for it. Funny, adventure story. Glossary of sumo-related terms. Caution: involves some violence.

A boy does sumo to help a girl. This book had a lot of authentic Japanese writing in it, which was cool.

This is kind of a weird book. The illustrations are bright and fun and we all learned a little bit about sumo, which was interesting, but after reading it, we all just went "hmmm?!".
