Now it's relatively EASY to learn ADVANCED PHYSICS Interested in excelling in physics but don't have infinite time or the IQ of Einstein? No problem! Advanced Physics Demystified helps you understand this complex subject matter without expending a lot of energy. You'll start by learning about linear motion and plane trajectories and then move on to circular and harmonic motion. Next, you'll study thermodynamics, electrical impedance and admittance, and alternating-current circuit analysis. Gravitation, nuclear physics, and radiant energy are also covered. Filled with helpful illustrations and examples and featuring end-of-chapter quizzes and a final exam, this book will teach you the essentials of advanced physics in no time at all. This fast and easy guide Simple enough for a beginner, but challenging enough for an advanced student, Advanced Physics Demystified takes the resistance out of learning this fascinating subject.
I thought Gibilisco did an admirable job of covering the smattering of topics which made up the book. Using very simple calculus he made an excellent presentation of kinematics and basic mechanics in a thorough and intuitive way. Never again will I worry about remembering the formula to discover the magnitude of acceleration, velocity or position vectors in linear motion. I think this book was meant to be a companion to Physics Demystified, and insofar as that is true some of the topics seem a bit random, such as the chapters on AC circuits. The book includes short quizzes at the end of each chapter and a long final exam at the end, answers included. Not every chapter is as thorough as the first couple, and he ends up stating formulas, underived, I am sure due to length constraints. The effect though is an easily accessible and fun survey of a variety of topics in physics.
