Okay, the last seal preventing The Apocalypse has officially been broken.

This is *ME* recommending an MMF book
, girl parts and all.

Stop laughing, bitches, I'm even more shocked than you are, TRUST, but there it is.

When I first saw the blurb for this one, my mind went nearly to the exact same place that it did when I read the blurb for Jay Nortcote's "Helping Hand".

In other words, my brain started bleeding with thoughts of, "God, how hot does that sound?"

Sooooo, 3 or 4 days later, I broke down, got the book and was not disappointed.

Okay, for the "lady bits", one of the two women who put the F in MFM here was written pretty much one dick shy of being a dude. Sorta. That was a huge plus in me not getting so squicked out that I stopped reading all together.

Not only was the story well-written, but sweet merciful crap, the sexy bits were so smoking hot, they nearly peeled the paint off my eReader. *shivers*

Plus, the fact that Jason and Davey weren't in the least bit homophobic was great.

There wasn't a ton of angst in the "Oh. My. God. I might be motherfucking gay!" department, only time needed to adjust to the change in their best friends status to include 'more.'

While I loved the sweet and endearing Jason, it was Davey that stole my heart in this book.

Davey was like that one friend we've all had at some point whose mouth was no holds barred and was always up for anything. ANY. THING.
Bungee jumping? Sure!

NAKED bungee jumping? Why the fuck not! Let's git 'er done!!!
Davey's in-your-face snark and lack of any type of verbal filter was crazy, mad fun to witness.

And Davey's hands kind of had a mind of their own, too. ;- )

This book was perfectly fine as a standalone, although Jason and Davey, plus their friends, were originally introduced in book 1, which was an MMMMF book with zero guy-on-guy action.

While I won't be going back and reading the first book, this one was damn near perfect, starting out as a "Dude, I can't believe we're doing this" story, with a girl in the middle, to a full on MM gay for you with feels.

So 4.25 highly-recommended *Dude-you-want-us-to-do-WHAT???* stars for this enjoyable, sexy read.

** UPDATE 3-17-2015: I met Jet Mykles today at GRL 2015 in San Diego, who was extremely nice, sweet and friendly. I love that! : )

This was my first book by Jet Mykles, but it won't be my last, because Mykles sure knows how to write the SEXY with a capital S - E - X.

I knew about the MMF scenes before reading (yes, they're on page and VERY explicit). The pure MM lovin' doesn't start until 50 percent.

There's not a lot of character or relationship development, and the plot is nonexistent, but the smut's abundant and glorious.

I liked Melanie, one of the women who does a threesome with Davey and Jason. She knew what she wanted and was the catalyst for bringing Davey and Jason together.

I really didn't understand Davey. I thought he would be the one pushing for a relationship instead of the other way round.

Smutty goodness, tentative HEA, BFFs-to-lovers, bi/GFY, some feels. Worked for me.

I knew this would have MFM scenes in it, but I wasn’t expecting this many scenes. And how loooooong and detailed those scenes would be.

description

But I got through it hoping Jason and Davey would start a curious, but hot and loving relationship, with them being best friends and all.

But yet again I was wrong.

description

Davey was kind of an ass to Jason. He was too much ‘this is just sex, don’t think anything about it’ for me. He hurt Jason. I didn’t like it.

description

Eventually they talk about their feeling (or yell to each other with an entire audience present), but Davey still had trouble dealing with the whole relationship thing. These guys do get their HEA, but for me it was a shaky one.

And I have to say, what the heck was with all the talk about the four friends having had sex with their friend Jen in the previous book. They had a wild night, Jason, Davey, two friends and Jen, and right after that Ken (who didn’t participate in the orgy!) was so jealous he asked her to marry him.

I don’t think the author and I have the same view on what is hot and what is not…

Nichole Hearts Jet Mykles.

I loved this book. Jet is better than anyone else in the genre at writing likeable characters that you just want to keep reading about no matter what they're doing. She is also definitely the very best at Gay-For-You.

**Warning: Girl Cooties**
It's fairly clear in the blurb for this book, but there are girl cooties. If you really don't like that in your books, then you probably won't like this one. This is an m/m in that the two male leads become an exclusive couple and they do have sex on their own. But the first half has several m/f/m menage scenes. I did not mind this because A. I knew it was coming and B. Jet did a great job of showing in these scenes the attraction Jason felt to Davey. It was clear he had no interest in those girls on their own. And the girls were very likeable and the scenes were... respectful, I guess is the best word. :)

Bottom line - excellent book from the always excellent Jet. I always have high hopes for her books and I'm never disappointed.

**Re-read: 10/11/11**

I flippin' love this book. Seriously it's one of my top 5 favorite m/m's of all time.

**Re-read: 9/3/15**

Why do I love this book so much? I don't know. I mean, I could sit here and tell you reasons why I like it, but why it continues to be probably my favorite m/m book ever? I honestly don't know. I just freaking love it. Even the really gross sexism underlying the whole thing that I don't know how I never noticed before... didn't change my love. This might be the most perfect "GFY" (I know that's a controversial term/topic but just go with it) ever. And so freaking hot. I realized this time around that this book is almost nothing but sex, and yet it doesn't seem porny to me.
This is definitely not the best written book in the genre. There are plenty of other "better" books. But I just love this one, okay? It's my favorite.

More substantiative than I anticipated. Naturally, my dumbass started it because I thought it was MMF and while there are some lady garden sightings the endgame is MM. So... I got hosed. Again. I'm having a helluva time finding MMF lately. I feel like the universe is conspiring against me.

This is what I got for you, universe.

Ultimately, I found myself invested in Jason and hoping for him to convince Davey to pull his head out of his ass and surprisingly mushy over the ending.

Good feels are good.

^^WANTED MORE TAG TEAMING BETWEEN THE DUDES!^^

So in my eyes Jet can do no wrong, I always love her m/m books and the characters are always fun and interesting. This book wasn't one of her best but I loved it anyways, I love the inner struggles of the lead male characters, I always enjoy her friendships, and last but not least the sex is always amazing.

Two Man Team is about two best-friends become lovers, and they find out their love for each other while doing a little 3way with some ladies. While fooling around Jason realizes that he is attracted Davey, he likes the way he looks when he is feckin and he likes it a lot.

What stands out is the differences between both Davey and Jason. Jason is a sweetheart, he is respectful to women, takes care of his friends and he is just an optimist. Davey is an Asshole plain and simple, he is disrespectful to the opposite sex, basically he just considers them a hole, he pretty much rules Jason love life, telling him who date and who to like. This leads to some very tense moments between the friends.

All the shared sexual experiences leads to a kiss between Jason and Davey, what started as curiousity becomes a scorching lust, and boom they are both naked and doing each other. It should have remained friends fooling around, but hearts got in the way, and a frienship based on love was almost lost. The scenes between them wasn't overly sexy, but it should have beeen since most of the book kept having a menage, and the two of them coming together should have been hotter than a volcano, but nope! It was just luke warm, but in a soothing chamomile sort of way.

Overall I did really like it, I loved Jason and he created a perfect balance to cynical Davey, and what can I say I am a sucker for a beautiful nerd. Not the best by |Mykles but I always enjoy her books and the same goes for this one.

I just gobbled this down last night and giggled with glee, when I was done. This is the kind of Jet Mykles' book I fell in love with a couple years ago. Before reading "Just For You" I admit that I was afraid that my reading crush was over but not anymore.

The m/f/m did not bother me at all. A lot of m/m/f or m/f/m is gratuitous and not really necessary to develop the plot. In the context of the story it made sense and was necessary for the development of the relationship between Davey and Jason. The sex was hawt all the way through and there is a lot of it in there. But, hey, Jet excels at writing about sex, so I'm not complaining. The pairing of Davey and Jason was a great idea.

A light, fun, heat-inducing read.

Re read again in July 2013. Still fabulously filthy.

It’s true, Davey has possibly got the most readable ass I’ve read this month. If you buy this gem for any reason, buy it for his ass alone. His behind was so well described and so well loved that even I was contemplating giving it a gold star. heh.

Two Man Team carries on from Jet’s previous book One For The Team, set within a couple of months of a wedding and of Davey, Jason et al. getting it on. Davey makes a few gentle suggestions to Jason that maybe he’d like to get the band back together, with some chicks, and so they do. There is much surreptitious watching of each other and almost touching during their sexorin fest, and until finally they end up in the sack, just the two of them. Nice.

Normally the whole chick as an add on can kinda squick me, as it often feels like she’s just the tag along. Unless the book is a purpose written menage. The way the author handled this was nicely done and even though they’re not a huge focus, how they’re dealt with was nicely written. I guess this was kinda important to me, that it fed and drove the plot rather than adding a random sex scene.

The chemistry between Davey and Jason was unspeakably hot and there are a couple of scenes that need some kind of achievement certificate or well done! Seriously, they were so filled with tension, angst and raw sexual appeal I am quite sure my wee iphone won’t ever be the same.

Jason’s voice was easy to read and at times provided surprising and unexpected turns in character. I liked that I was not really sure what was going to happen next. Sometimes I feel so jaded, I can tell you where a story is going. I think I read too much! But this was just a little different. And, was it just me or was Davey’s ass really that hypnotic?

A wickedly hot read and I liked it lots. Get it from Loose Id.

I hated this book. Half of it was a M/F/M menage. Not even M/M/F but a het menage. NOT what I want in my gay M/M romance! I was so pissed off I couldn't read it to the end, hence the 1 star. And it's just me, not the story because I knew there was girl cooties in this book. I just did not expect there to be so much of it.

However, it's a Jet Mykles so it can't be bad. And it isn't. If you don't mind females in your M/M books, if you won't mind two men having a 'straight' menage once with Tacy ('Stacy' without the 'S', she says; and twice with Melanie) and enjoy light contemporary M/M romances, you'll enjoy it just as everyone else did.

Damn good smut. I didn't love all the "like a girl"/"not like a girl" stuff, but it was written in 2010... and it wasn't pervasive enough to cancel out the good stuff, so I'll give this author another try next time I'm going for smutty smuttyness. I will just steer away from the GFY-theme next time.

This is my first Jet Mykles, and I really enjoyed it. I was properly warned beforehand that it was MFM to start, so I knew what to expect--I doubt I would have liked it much if I'd come across it without expecting it. But it was definitely MFM-to-MM done right (for me). It played out without any unnecessary drama, and there was a good progression in Jason's thoughts, making what happened seem natural. (There was certainly drama, but I didn't find any of it to be drama-for-the-sake-of-drama.)

I like that the whole novel stuck with Jason POV. It increased the tension a bit, not knowing what was going on in Davey's head, and if we'd flipped to Davey, we might have had some MF on our hands, and that's best avoided. :)

After I finished, I realized . The sex throughout was very hot, with enough awareness between the guys in the early scenes to have an MM vibe from the start.

I didn't read the first book in the series, and I didn't feel like I was missing anything as I read this one. What happened in that book is referred to a bunch of times, but it wasn't at all confusing, and I'm not feeling compelled to go back and read it (and it's not MM).

The writing, aside from a few "the other man" instances, was solid. I'm happy to find another writer who writes well and already has a big catalogue. More books for me!

Well, I have to say this one paled in comparison to the other m/m's I've read this month which were focused on relationship building between great characters. This one featured two best friends who realize they're attracted to each other after a threesome with a strange woman. They deny and resist and insist they're perfectly straight but end up enjoying themselves in bed without a woman (oops!). This one was all about the sex. One of the main characters is sweet but the other is a complete prick who treats everyone like a fresh dog turd he's just stepped in.

Friends to lovers? Yes.
GFY-OFY? Yes.
Hot sex? Yes.

Hell yes! Everything that I like. So why 4 stars? Their relationship - not the sex, the love - wasn't slow burn enough for me.

But it's a really nice reading. I'm glad that I bought it before it went off market

I really like Jet Mykles, I still remember when I bought Heaven, one of the first M/M romance I read, probably the first full gay erotica, how I was both shocked and enthralled; only for this reason I managed to go through the first chapter of this novel, and not since it’s not a good romance, on the contrary it’s a very good romance, but guys, this is for sure a bisexual novel. I read het romance trying to pass for gay romance, and gay romance going down the straight path, but I think I have never read a real bisexual romance till know. For me being bisexual means that you have really no issue at all on the gender of your partner, the most important thing is being good, with you and with your partner. So it’s not the bisexual thing that let me perplexed at the beginning, but more all the sex with a woman between the two men; it was the ménages that was not really my cup of tea, and when the two men finally realized that they needed to understand the dynamics between them before trying to add a woman, that was the moment I started to really like the book. So, if you are like me, don’t give up to this book, try to reach the middle, and I will assure you will find what you are searching.

Davey and Jason are two of the four men who had a fivesome with best girl friend and tomboy Jen; at the end of that book Jen choses Ken and Bart, Davey and Jason were left alone… or better on their own. Even if Jason is big and strong, he is of all of them the one who believes in romance, sex is not the most important thing, being in love is. Jason is not gay, but sincerely I had the feeling that he likes when women take the lead in the relationship, all the women in his life are independent and strong. When Davey suddenly starts to involve him in threesome with stranger women, I think Jason goes along more since he has not the strong hand to say no than for real interest. And then he is best friend with Davey and if Davey wants something, he is not able to say no.

From Davey’s side, I had the strong feeling that he has something in mind, that it was not a sudden swing of mood that led him to involve Jason in his sex life. I was really expecting that Davey would sooner or later comes out (pun intended) with his version of the story, that he was in love with Jason and that he wanted him and only him. Both Davey and Jason are full fledged bisexual men; they don’t suddenly turn gay, arriving to realize that they really don’t like women; they like women, they like women a lot, and they also respect them, but it happened that the person they love is not a woman but a man. True, everything started from sex, and if sex was not good, maybe love would have not come around, but that is not the point.

There is also the strong concept of love and sex; it’s not that to have sex you need to be in love with the other person, sex is something good and happy, and if you are comfortable with the other one, you can have it even without being in love; but if you are in love sex is better. So in the first part of the novel, Jason and Davey have sex with other women, and it’s good, and no one is complaining; but when love comes between them, then trouble start, since they first need to find a balance to their new relationship, and then they can consider to continue as or even better than before.

In the end I will not say that this is a gay romance, not Davey or Jason are really gay, they are simply in love with another man.

This was great. One gripe only, telling vs showing, especially in dialogue. Writer does a great job throughout this story with showing vs telling the reader all they need for experiencing the story...except in some of the sexual dialogue. Damn. The reader is told the MC is screaming obscenities, all sorts of dirty words, etc., instead of the actual nasty.W.T.F. Why? I come across this ad nauseam in this genre, and I cannot stress enough, if the writer isn't going to write the dialogue for the reader to experience it, it's better left unsaid. I, as most, resent being told rather than experiencing it myself.

Please...have some faith and just let the smut rip...your readers will love every nasty word of it.

It has some ménage in it, ok quite a lot. But the blurb let me believe that the couple would end up with just the two so that is why I bought it. And they did (phew!)
I love Jet's work so I took it in stride since I DON'T like ménage at all.
As for the actual story, it was quite entertaining and very much Jet. Tasty guys, good humour, IT nerds. I just loved it despite the ménage, that served a purpose.

The girl bits seem to have been needed in order for Davey to manipulate Jason and to show how Davey felt about relationships and love in general. Yes, my eyes frosted over during those (girly) moments and only 2 male naked bodies could defrost my sudden chill. Having said that, this was still a great read. IMO this could have been a fantastic book if it were a M/M/M and the two MC's realized they were made only for each other and said bye to the 3rd. This is me projecting. *wink*

I was expecting the girly bits so they didn't bother me so much in this one. Plus, they were necessary so our men could get together. Completely entertaining story about two friends realizing they could be so much more. It did bother me that Jason never did let Davey touch his ass. That scene should have taken place for sure. Would have rounded the story out quite nicely...and been hot as hell.

Two and half stars. Better than the first book in this series, but no more than a mediocre double GFY. Unlike the best GFY stories, this one didn't make much of an effort to explain how two previously straight friends suddenly start lusting after each other. An inordinate amount of time is spent on describing how hot they are for each other. Periodically, we are reminded that they are best friends but no attempt is made to explain why that is. There is pretty much zero emotion in the book other that the requisite declarations of love at the finale.

Personally, I didn't find the sex all that hot, mainly because there is no emotional connection between the characters and the scenes largely unfold nearly identically down to even the location. Perhaps it was because the book is told entirely through Jason's perspective, but Davey seriously creeped me out. He manipulated Jason and didn't care about what Jason wanted at all.

Gosh, this book is very spicy. But what I love the most about it is the ending. Davey and Jason are really sweet and I'm so glad Davey realizes he is in love with Jason too. I wish this book was longer so we can read more about how their relationship evolved.
