Loved it!! Priya and Levin's story kept me entralled to the end and left me impatient for the next installment. I can't get enough of these books. With every book, Coreene adds more layers to the vast universe that is Dragonkind. Just when one question is answered another five pop up. Sorry I've got to cut this short so I can go start another read through of all the books.

Levin is a Scottish ice dragon who has been haunted by dreams of a beautiful woman who his dragon believes is his mate, Levin is so captivated with the mystery woman that he has a tattoo of her face on his arm. Priya is a journalist from London who goes to meet a CI ( who is also a CI to Levin) and is trying to get her life back on track after being brutally attacked two years prior that left her with physical and mental scars. When she gets to the meet site she runs into trouble and Levin saves her. These two are characters have great chemistry, I like how Priya doesn't take any gruff from Levin and isn't afraid to speak her mind. There is a lot of action in here with a lot of enemies and some mystery, this is my first book by this author, but it definitely won't be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am invested in the story of these characters. I'm looking forward to more in the series. I very much recommend this book, you won't be disappointed. *some violence * sexual content.

while Levin & Priya's romance is complete and stand-a-lone worthy with in the book, this may not be the best book to jump into the series or get feel for the author's work. there are numerous characters, factions & plot threads through out the book tied to the series as a whole that those not familiar with the series already may have trouble following and distract from romance and book. 90% of the story takes place over less than 24hrs (yes this is shifter insta-love) and while there is plenty going on between the differing plot lines, battles & whatnot, it occasionally read slow. Levin has been having daily dreams (that then haunt his waking hrs) of Priya although he has never met her and has no idea of who she is other than she's important to him. Priya on the other hand has not clue about Levin, dragons or the magic/paranormal world he's a part of until she's suddenly (& violently) in the middle of it. One issue I had with the book was there was not a lot of Levin/Priya together time (they don't meet till about 1/3 of the way in and only spend about a 1/3 of the book in proximity to each other (and not always interacting with each other). While the author does a good job of providing insight into Levin and how he feels and what draws him to Priya, the same isn't the case for Priya. she felt inconsistent in character and just surface level. little to give insight into her or to really care. there was also a couple plot holes & unfinished/dangling plot threads left that had me going what? how? why? huh? and while I expect some of those will (better) be resolved in a future book, it still left me less than fully satisfied when I turned the last page. in summary, I'd recommend this for fans of the series, just don't expect to have your questions answered quite yet.

Can a dragon-shifter with an agenda and a reporter with a cause work together to bring about justice? Or must one sacrifice it all to eliminate the threat? Review: I’m giving this book a 3-star rating. It didn’t hold up to the other books in this series; it felt rushed and like something important was left out. I did love the new twists Coreene brought in and look forward to discovering how these new twists add to the series.
Conclusion: Would I recommend this book to others? Unsure Is this book priced correctly? Yes Is this book a full-length novel or novella? Full-length novel Would I read other books by this Author? Yes

Side Note: Sorry my review is late I’m dealing with some medical issues, reading helps, but my mind won’t settle enough for a review.
Priya is broken but refuses to be beaten so she goes looking for the story of a lifetime. She is described as having lost the trust of others because she became a victim i wasn't overly found of that notion as it was like she was victimized twice. However, maybe that is OK because it set her on the path to meet Levin and he gave her acceptance and love.
As I have said before, I like characters who are not perfect because it makes them relatable. Priya's physical scars and lack of a good support system make her flawed. Levin was her perfect match or as they described their energies matched and the author did a good job of making that so.
I kind of was expecting the story to go one way when they were fighting the Danes but the author flipped things on their ear with the introduction of Callus. I like the unpredictability. It keeps you reading to see if things will turn the way you expected or continue down a new path.
My biggest complaint about the book is the long passages with no dialogue or interaction between characters.
I waffled a little on reading this book but found myself continuing to turn the page which is another credit the author. I do think I would have enjoyed the book a little more if i had read the others in the series first. There were a few things mentioned like the White Hare and the innkeeper that I did not understand. You can read this one stand alone but better if you have an understanding from the other books. I am going to read the other books and reread this one to see if my opinion changes with my knowledge.

This is one of my top favorite paranormal series. Coreene's dragons are fierce, legendary warriors and love their mates intensely. The fight scenes are so vivid in the skies you can see the action in your mind. This is no exception. She also has some fascinating story threads we see unfold in each book. I am so curious as to what will happen next and can't wait for the next story! This is Levin and Ice Dragon's story. His mate is as fierce as he is and they are a perfect match for each other.
Levin is the intelligence officer of the clan. He sifts in the shadows and has lots of contacts to collect the information the clan needs to keep them safe and ready for the battle with the invading Danes and rogue Druids. He's also been so plagued with dreams of a woman he has her image inked on his arm. When he meets with one of his CI's Shell, everything goes sideways. Shell leaves him with a location while dying and Levin knows something big is happening. When he gets there he meets HER!
Priya Burman is an investigative reporter that's trying to regain her footing after being almost beaten to death two years ago following a human trafficking story. She's determined to get back in the field and her CI Shell has information on a story she's following. This time she's meeting Shell in person. When she gets there disaster strikes and she meets Levin. I loved how she's just as fiery as Levin and won't take any nonsense from him. Through her adventure with Levin her mental scars begin to heal and she finds her life taking another direction.

Levin’s journey in finding his mate was the perfect next installment in the Dragonfury Scotland books. I loved that Levin dreamed of Priya before he ever set eyes upon her. It certainly lit a fire under his frosty scales during their first real meet, as he launched a full-scale rescue to save her from decidedly imminent danger. Being an investigative journalist, Priya followed a tip from a supernatural (unknown to her!) informant and found herself thrust into a world she was not AT ALL prepared to handle. Luckily for her, her mate has no such qualms. Their love story advances the Dragonkind saga right along pulling together Grizgunn’s manipulations against the Scottish pack with the aide of ancient dark Druids, who have their sights set on the Parkland. Their sinister plans are unfurling as the pack is on the cusp of celebrating a double wedding within the Parkland at the White Hare. Henry Biscayne, a newly awakened Vampire Fae, has revealed himself and has some hugely, secret, selfish plans for his two daughters. Both of which are newly-mated to Dragonkind warriors. Danger abounds from all sides. On the other hand, a wee bit of forced communication between Callas’ trio and the Scottish pack is setting up some strong future ties for our Seattle pack. Squee! As always, as much as I inhale each individual book, I cannot wait for the next installment. Thank you, Coreene!.

This book was good, I loved Priya, she’s a fierce jour Amish who decided to go after a story and try to put the past behind her. However, she couldn’t fantom what will happen to her, she was really at the wrong place at the wrong moment - which led to her meeting with Levin. I was really curious about him, first, he is an ice dragon and they have the reputation to be strong, stubborn but also solitary in a way. I liked his character and his relationship with his brothers !!
I liked the book but, the story is really focused on the conflict between the Scottish and the Dane + the Druids, soo the connection and the development between Levin and Pirya is kind of lost, they don’t have a lot of moments together. However, it’s filled with fights and that I love, it’s exciting to see them in action. I’m starting to get a little lost with the crossover between the series and the number of characters which is only growing. I’m still curious to see what will come next, and I hope that Temple will have his HEA I really like him 😁

Coreene Callahan has done another excellent job with her Dragonfury Scotland series. Fury of Misfortune, the seventh book in this series is sizzling and the HE female in this saga is beautiful, feisty and independent as hell. This is the story about Levin, the skilled covert operator dragon-warrior of the Scotland Pack. He connects with Priya Burman, an investigative reporter who had survived unimaginable circumstances in the past and came out stronger. This book has non-stop action from beginning to end, with tender moments thrown in. You will enjoy all the exciting twists and turns that flow throughout. I highly recommend this book along with the entire series.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and Goodreads for my copy of this book through Goodreads giveaways. I would have liked to be able to give this novel 2 1/2 stars; 4stars for the descriptive writing and minus 1 1/2 star for unedited grammatical errors and a lack of compelling plot. I felt it took 3 chapters to get to the story and then the ending was a let-down of a cliffhanger. I’m curious as to how the story will continue, but probably not enough to purchase the rest of the series. I have not read other books in the series and this book did not leave me with a desire to do so going forward.
I loved the detail of the fight that happened outside of the druids encampment. It was specific and gave me chills and had me on the edge of my seat. What I didn't like was repetitive musings by the humans it already been done before it already been mentioned before and yet they kept going back over it like the reader had forgotten it. Not very many misfilled words or left outwards as in some of the other books in this series. I can't wait until there's an audible to go along with this book! A male's voice is needed with a Scottish accent!
This is my first book by this author author and I really enjoyed it. It's also my first dragon shifter book, I've read tons of other shifter books and liked those so I had to check these books out.
I took a star off simply because this book is full of the characters using God's name in vain and I absolutely hate that. I don't mind the cussing, but that bugs me.
All in all, great characters and great story line. I just wish that it showed more of their life together as a couple.
For this story had more going for it. It has love it also has companship and fights but best of all they are Scottish Dragon's but they have an enemy of druids and Faye and many of them have been changed with vampire blood and fate blood giving them abilaties that others don't fit one thing that Dragonfury have is there mates that have there own magic.I would like to say thank you for all your hard work and may fortune smile 😃on you always 😁from a bookworm
OMG I loved this story!!! Ended way too quickly! And what a cliffhanger! So many moving parts, I have no idea how Coreene keeps them all straight! I love how every dragon is different, no matter the kind of elements they have. And I love Priya! She’s so fierce and independent! I had to keep reading until the end once I started. Too amazing to put down. Awesome job!!!!
I am always disappointed with the way the stories end. This book left too many unanswered questions. It takes to long for these books to have the next one in the series be released. I liked the Dragonfury series better. They were complete stories of one dragon kind. Fire,Ice, etc. Sorry. I will most likely read the next book #8. I need to see if they win the battle against the Danish dragons.

Levin has the cool she needs to heal old wounds. Priya is stubbornly hot about everything. These two make the perfect couple. Their union makes their pack stronger. Can't wait for more in this new world of diversity.

I've been reading the Dragonfury series since they started. Corenne is able to bring to life the trials and tribulations of each character. This is another trip to Scotland which makes the heart pound and makes the reader think about what justice means to you. I cannot put the book down. My only problem is waiting for the next one!
Let me start by saying this is a fabulous story. It absolutely drew me in until I just had to finish it in one sitting.
Having said that, I must also say that it is not a standalone book. You will need to have read the series first. So much of this story depends on what has gone before. So take that for what it’s worth.
Exciting installment. Scottish frost dragon stumbles onto the path of his mate. Good fast paced opening and battle. Story jumps a bit and stops abruptly. I want to see how cy handles the water dragon trio and how the battle turns out next. I love this series!
Another good addition to the Dragon Fury series. Levin is a dragon warrior who dreams of his mate. Priya is a journalist who is dealing with the aftermath of a violent attack. When the two come together it’s an epic adventure. I love the world building in this series and each book gets better.
An amazing book the will have you intrigued. Levin is a Covert Operator, a Strong Dragon Warrior Will he be able to keep a stranger safe and still complete his job. Well written, that will take you on a journey that you won’t forget.
I was drawn in to this book from the very beginning. I didn't want to put it down. This had lots of action. I can't wait to read more of this new world and diversity.
I can't get enough of the Scottish dragons. I need to know about Callas and the others. I need Grizgunn to disappear already. I need Biscayne gone too.
