Conar MacGregor learned to rue the day he made his pact with the witch, Sybelle, for although she restored all that he'd lost in his trials, she took the one thing most intrinsic to the man he was: his freedom.
Now he must learn to be what he has never wanted to be: a man dependent on others, an invalid whose life is ruled--and controlled--by a woman. If he can not be a man, he would rather die but with his every move being watched, shackles waiting to be applied when he does not behave, freedom and being his own man again seem like an impossible dream.
Can he rise above this latest burden or will he remain a prisoner, a weakling at Sybelle's beck and call?

I really really loved this series. In Windlegends the writer creates a world full of sensual fantasy characters, princes, ladies, witches etc. and all the books have intriguing story lines. I could loose myself totally in this world and consumed the series in a 'reading binge". What I didn't like was that the last book never came out. It ends with book 9, Windretriever. Everywhere in the media and at all kind of book sites etc. it says book 10 in the series, which seemed to be the last one, Windsleeper "will be out soon". Only it never came....This was in 2011, so I gave up hope the book will ever see the light of day. And that is a shame, for her books are really worthwhile the time reading (and money). Book 9 ends at the height of the story and I really hoped to read a hea. I do hope the writer is alright, alive and kicking, for her fb page stopped at 2015 and her website I was referred to is now a 'how to write essays' page and not related to her I think. If someone has any news on her that would be appreciated.
