La historia nos transporta hasta Australia, donde Georgie vive feliz junto con sus dos hermanos, Abel y Arthur, y su madre, a pesar de la severidad con que ésta la trata. Siempre alegre y traviesa, Georgie decide participar en un concurso, donde conocerá al grupo Lowell, y se enamorará perdidamente de él, a pesar de que sus hermanos no ven la relación con buenos ojos. Debido a esto se peleará con su familia, y descubrirá la triste ella no es la verdadera hija de la familia, sino que fue adoptada a petición de su auténtica madre que sólo le dejó un brazalete como signo de su identidad. Dolida por este descubrimiento y tras darse cuenta de que sus dos hermanos están enamorados de ella, Georgie decide huir a Inglaterra en busca de sus raíces.

Yumiko Igarashi (いがらしゆみこ) is a resident of Sapporo, Hokkaido. She is also the cousin of fellow mangaka Satsuki Igarashi; a member of Clamp.

In 1968, as a third-year high school student at the Asahi Gaoka High School in Sapporo, Hokkaidō, she made her debut in Shueisha's Ribon manga magazine with Shiroi Same no iru Shima. She won the 1st Kodansha Manga Award in 1977 as the artist of Candy Candy.

In the late 1990s, Igarashi became involved in a number of legal battles related to her intellectual property rights as an illustrator. Igarashi claimed that in series for which she was the illustrator, she should hold sole intellectual property rights to the portrayals of the characters, and not need the consent of her authors to license merchandise based on their likenesses. In a dispute over the Candy Candy character designs in 1999, the court ruled against Igarashi, stating that both she and writer Kyoko Mizuki held equal rights to the characters, and awarded Mizuki reparations equal to 3% royalties on all the merchandise that had been created without her consent. This legal battle paralyzed the franchise for several years, interfering with Toei's production of a Candy Candy anime, and making the creation of new merchandise difficult due to the court's order that all merchandise be approved by both Igarashi and Mizuki, but a trickle of new merchandise was produced in 2004, suggesting some agreement had been reached.

Creo que de todos los tomos este es el que menos me ha gustado :(
En todo este tiempo que he estado viendo el ánime y leyendo el manga, me quedo por mucho con el ánime, porque algo que me molesta del manga es que es muy abrupto y precipitado, presenta a los personajes y situaciones de manera espontánea sin darte ningún antecedente o introducción natural, en cambio el manga, aunque se toma su tiempo, sabe como introducirte las situaciones y sobre todo respeta la esencia de la historia: drama, pasión, celos, intrigas y momentos bien hechos. Además de que los personajes me gustan más en el ánime, en especial Georgie y Abel.

Ya sólo queda un tomo y ya me rendí en que ella no se quedaría el que yo considero como el mejor candidato xD TwT sin embargo no me molesta que se queda con el que creo que se quedará ;) ojalá tenga un buen desenlace que quiero leer pero a la vez no estoy lista para terminarlo ;w;

Ils essaient de vivre tous les deux après s'être enfuis. Georgie a beau avoir beaucoup de ressources pour leur permettre de vivre elle sera la plus mature lorsque Lowell sera trop mal en point et le ramènera à Londres. Lui n'a rien fait à part faire l'enfant gâté comme elle le remarque. Ils viennent de deux mondes différents et si Georgie s'adapte bien partout où elle va, Lowell lui ne peut quitter son nid riche.
Et là la grosse surprise, Arthur et son histoire glauque aux mains d'un homme qui le drogue de force. Je ne m'attendais vraiment pas à une telle tristesse.

Quarta parte del cofanetto del manga originale di Lady Georgie, cartone animato degli anni ottanta che come altri sono diventati dei veri cult nella cultura di molti della nostra generazione.
In questo capitolo: tutti e tre i fratelli sono giunti in Inghilterra attraverso diverse disavventure e la situazione sta degenerando. Dopo un primo momento di ottimismo, Georgie deve lasciare Lowell ad Eliza per salvargli la vita. Adesso il suo unico desiderio è salvare la vita a suo fratello Arthur e trovare il suo vero padre.

I... I'm so beyond upset. This volume was nothing but dreary and miserable to read. Every single character we care about is suffering nonstop, either emotionally or physically. When one reads a synopsis about a historical drama filled romance manga, they do not expect this level of nihilism.

Honestly I don't want to even read the last volume, but I've come this far already, I might as well see how it ends.
