Stop-Hit: A Race Richards Novel

Rate this book
An American martial artist encounters a yin-yang world of peril and romance while bringing the art of jeet kune do, "kung fu with racing stripes," to China. Burned out action star Race Richards is back with a new adventure. Abandoned by both his Valkyrie Kendra and sexy co-star Carrie West, Race spends a lonesome Minnesota winter secluded in his cabin. By spring, he is ready to jumpstart his life again. A road trip back to Los Angeles is in order. Once there, Race evades his movie contacts and instead meets with William Tong, his sifu in the art of jeet kune do. Tong asks Race to go to China and teach the authentic version of "The Way of the Intercepting Fist." He commits to three months. Assigned an interpreter, June Wang, Race finds himself attracted to the quiet young woman. But he also likes the attention he is getting from Hao Tsing, a tough-as-nails female kickboxer. Things go smoothly until someone steps up to challenge the American at his own craft. Surprisingly, it is not a Chinese but another Westerner who is determined to keep his own modified version of kung fu dominant in China's growing marketplace. And if the challenger cannot get to Richards, he'll simply use the newest girlfriend as bait... Lost in an ancient culture, his own strategies used against him, will Race Richards survive?
