A classic and rather nostalgic look at the famous New York City theatre known as The Palace. Still, Spitzer was one of the first to treat the history of vaudeville in a serious matter and her work is considered a classic in the history of vaudeville/popular entertainment. The author also contributed to the screenplay for the 1945 film Dolly Sisters.
