Presents a series of lessons outlining the basic rules of French grammar and vocabulary, accompanied by puzzles and episodes showing everyday French in action from a story about how three friends found the Camembert treasure.

A good concise summary of French grammar taught chapter by chapter, with a reasonably entertaining comic book episode in each chapter. Most grammar is covered except preterite and subjunctive tenses. Vocabulary included is partly dependent on the story and examples given. It makes a good revision text for those who have studied the language several years prior. For someone learning from scratch I'd say that more work would need to be done per chapter to absorb it. Perhaps the included internet links provide that; I didn't check.
