Die Pleister vir die siel-konsep het sy ontstaan gehad toe ek by RSG met Brekfis met Derrich (Saterdae) begin het. Die inhoud van die destydse bydraes was taamlik formeel en ons wou iets skep wat 'n bietjie meer vleis om die been het, maar nie Bybelversies of preke is nie. Saterdae is vir die meeste mense 'n woelige dag en die bydrae moes pas by die tempo van die dag met 'n kort en kragtige impak.

About the author

Riekert and Pippa entered the full-time ministry in 1991, shortly after their wedding. For the first five years they were attached to the Logos Baptist Church in Bellville, after which they worked as missionaries in Ukraine for 5 years. Back in South Africa, they accepted an appeal to the Vredendal Baptist Church - and this is where most of us got to know them. Riekert gained notoriety through his regular program 'Pleisters vir die Siel' on RSG with Derrich Gardner. Since 2012, Riekert has been traveling the country full time to present his popular seminars at churches and schools where he is asked.
