This one is kind of odd, it shows a different side of Edge til he has to go full Edge mode again. He actually gets married and starts a small farm. He is satisfied until Indians kidnapped his wife. Then all hell breaks loose and he goes after them, way too many of them but he plans on getting his revenge somehow. It has a hell of an ending.

Highly recommended, starts a little slow but has its moments and again hell of an ending.

Edge gets married. Then things go really wrong for him. The Sioux Nation is out for blood. They tear through the Dakotas, where Edge and the little woman settle down. Much blood is spilt in the 148 pages.

This was going to be a three-star book, but the twist ending, that by the way, I never saw coming, gave it that extra star. Nice touch.

Edge buys a cabin and some land and is all dressed up looking dapper with a tailor made blue suit and is about to marry Elizabeth, a women who has seen many bloodshed. Native Americans attack the wedding reception blasting guests with rifles, bullets firing into eyes and shooting out grey matter from the back of skulls. Edge uses his razor to slash one from navel to Adams apple. A guest fighting off a flying tomahawk watches her four fingers on the ground, one has a dull glint from her wedding ring. Edge and wife survive the attack and live happily for months renovating and farming. Edge is becoming a new man his death and killing fading in the background. The Native Americans go on a rampage, killing everyone, ripping a child from a womb. Edge thinks his wife is taken and goes on a revenge mission. He will have to pretend he is crazy as Native Americans won't kill crazy people as they don't want an evil spirit to haunt them. Edge won't be as sharp but will be able to forge his extraordinary killing ability again. A heart wrenching moment in the end with the discovery of his wife. I don't like civilised Edge I like mad crazy killing loner Edge.

This is the Eleventh book in the series. I enjoy this series since the character of Edge is so brutal. He seems to get out of all types of trouble. This one he's married and his wife is kidnapped by the Sioux Indians. It is a revenge story plain and simple. He has to find the braves who kidnapped his wife and set his revenge upon the rest.

At first, I did like the way the book was heading, but did not like the ending. Another thing I have been noticing these last few books is at the author is adding more and more “one liners“ in the stories. I think it’s starting to be a little too much. Overall, though, a good western series.
