Top Stories" was a prose periodical specializing in writing by women authors that was published as a chapbook series from 1978-1991, issues#1-#29. "Top Stories", founded & edited by Anne Turyn, featured experimental fiction, art, photography, & graphics, and has forecast some of the most progressive writers & artists of the '80s and '90s (see topstoriesperiodical.com). Each issue was devoted to the work of a single author or artist. Some issues were double issues and some issues were anthologies. In 1991, Turyn compiled a volume entitled "Top Top Stories" which was published by City Lights. (see Anne Turyn is a fine art photographer and educator living in NYC.
