About the author

Robin Palmer grew up in Massachusetts and New Jersey, and after graduating from Boston University, moved to Hollywood. Starting as an assistant in the television literary department of the William Morris Agency, she quickly moved up the ranks and spent the next decade as a literary agent, producer, and television network executive at Lifetime Television, where she developed over one hundred scripts and oversaw the production of many of the network's original movies.

In 2001, she remembered that she had originally intended to spend her life either as a writer or a toll booth collector (so she could indulge her penchant for spending her days alone reading), but as there are no toll roads in southern California, she decided to give the writing thing a try. Since then, she's written everything from "To Do" lists to screenplays to essays to love letters and, of course, novels.

She currently resides in New York City.

I love Lucy B. Parker! She is an amazing character. In the second book of this series, Lucy gets to go to L.A. with her older frister(friend/sister), Laurel Moses.Laurel is a superstar. She is both an actress and a singer. Laurel is in a new movie and Lucy's mom and Alan, Lucy's to-be dad(Laurel will be her stepsister) decided that Lucy and Laurel needed more "bonding". Lucy is constantly writing emails to Dr.Maude, who is a woman who is an expert on relationships and has her own show. Lucy just moved to New York, since her mother is planning to marry Alan. Lucy's new best friend, Beatrice, is kind of weird. This book is such a great book, but you can't read it without reading the first book. The first book is equally great. I love Lucy B. Parker.

This is Book 2 in the Lucy B. Parker series. 12- year-old Lucy heads out to LA with frister (friend and sister) superstar Laurel Moses hoping to bond with her soon-to-be step sister while Laurel makes a movie. But she feels completely ignored (just like at home with her mom) even though Laurel now calls her best friend. Lucy’s BFF back home tells her she needs to have three crushes (local, long distance and celebrity), which she doesn’t, and she still hasn’t had her period. She e-mails lengthy letters to Dr. Maude asking for advice and hopes she’ll be able to appear on her show while in LA, but never receives a response. She does receive advice from an elderly star she calls Lady A., however, who is also in the movie. Laurel’s long distance/local/celebrity crush is Austin, the boy starring opposite her. His best friend Connor is super cute and soon he and Lucy are hanging out. Lucy thinks she might have a crush on him, but she's not sure what that electric feeling is she experiences every time she sees him. This is a great middle grade novel for girls in those years when everything is changing with their bodies and emotions are so confusing. It reminded me of Judy Blume's books in that way. The story will easily draw girls in and make them want to read the other books in this series.

Like the other book i thought that this book was really good. I am excited for the third one, I believe it is coming out soon. They are very interesting books about a 12 year old girls life. Her parents had gotten divorced the year before, so... her mom is dating a celebrity's father and then after that a lot happens, one of which involves her moving to new york. And then she goes on a trip with her stepsister to L.A, and....

I thought this book was great because for one it ended with a kiss and had a fake kiss. she met a superstar other than her frister Laura Moses. His name was Connor Forrester the met in the bathroom when he climbed in through the window. they had a stroll on the beach and the reporters caaught him wiping seaweed of her face and thought it was a kiss.

This book is kind of like the first one with a different scene. They go to hollywood for Luaurel to make a movie. While they are their they meet msny other famous people. They also get invited to a party at a boys house on the beach.To get all the details read the ook it is amazing!!!

i just love these books and the author that writes them. as i said for the first one it is for girls that are becoming teenagers soon. but this book was probably the most funny out of the three-four i have read.
