HOW THE FRENCH TOAST HAS THIS SERIES NOT BEEN RAVED ABOUT ALL OVER THE PLACE?? I’M ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THIS SERIES AND I NEED MORE!!!
When I started book two I ordered books 3&4 so that I could binge this series!! I am SO GLAD I DID!!! There is NEVER a dull moment and the plot moves so flawlessly, with a pacing that has you flipping the pages, but not so fast that things aren’t being answered. THESE BOOKS ARE BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN!!!
The characters!!! Oh how I love the characters!! I’m getting to know more of them and their complex lives in this turbulent world. The character growth is impressive, but as would naturally happen they have set backs. These people are living in a world that is now being controlled and destroyed by aliens. They experiment and torture people, they have no heart. Although, as we’re seeing through Victor, they are not all bad. But the majority are.
Things that are revealed in this book had me gasping. I’m so invested in these people! The world building is so well done!! I can absolutely see these as movies, mini series, something!!! If you have started this series, do it as soon as possible!! They’re not overly scientific SciFi, sometimes it feels a bit apocalyptic or dystopian, the found family and friends is beautiful, the romance can be heartbreaking at times, but also very satisfying.
This is the 2nd book of this series. I am loving this series! This story easily transitions from the first book. Gail R Delaney has written the characters so well. They each have such unique personalities. I love how she has paired up couples so carefully. I am loving the twists and turns. I am very devoted in seeing what happens to all the characters of the story she has created. And again, I love the little bit of spice. I like how Gail R Delaney refers her spice to paprika! ;)
