I’m the arranged bride of the enemy. It’s my punishment for being an outcast. Our packs are at the brink of war. They solve it “the old way”: through an arranged marriage. I’m supposed to live with the enemy, to warm his bed. To do the things that mates do, not enemies.
I’m a human born to shifter parents. I’ve never shifted. I’ve been ridiculed for it my whole life, was the lowliest of the town. I expected my new husband to treat me like hell too. But no matter how much we bicker, we always make up.
His touch heals me, stroking my thighs and teasing my shame. His eyes follow me, wanting to command me and make me his. His muscular arms guard me, protecting me against my abusive ex. I’m scared of the way he lays my heart bare, of the little life growing in my belly.
Do I dare give us a chance?
The she-wolves of the Silverstar pack would make every woman jealous. They live in a beautiful small town and are surrounded by hot alpha wolves who will fight for them to get the ultimate prize: their mate’s true love. Come and visit, but don’t stay too long, or you might not want to leave…
Ruby lives on a farm with her two daughters and husband. Besides horses, chickens, and a donkey, she sometimes imagines that there are other types of animals on her farm, too... Animals that turn into Very Hot Men at night to look for their mates... Whenever that happens, she turns to her computer and writes down the paranormal love stories of these rough Wolf, Bear, and Dragon shifters who will destroy any obstacle to protect their mate. Come and enjoy the steamy, suspenseful, and slightly sweaty adventures of Ruby's shifter romance world.
I really like the storyline of this book. I loved the way Mason and McKenna interact with each other and watching them grow to a couple. The spelling and grammatical errors made it a little difficult to read at times and there were a few moments where I could feel the author summarizing a section and it would make it feel rushed and a little incomplete. If you can read through these moments and ignore them this is a definitely a good story to read!!!
Ruby Knoxx Arranged wolf bride Mckenna is considered an outcast by her pack, she has never been able to shift and was divorced from an abusive husband who happened to be the Alpha’s son, Tyler. Tyler has constantly pushed the boundaries between his and a neighbouring pack. After another incident the alphas get together to broker a treaty, their solution – an arranged marriage between a member from each pack. Mason feels he has to work hard to prove himself to his pack after his failed attempt to be their new Alpha, so he volunteers to be the groom. Their marriage has a bumpy start, and after the honeymoon they find out they are pregnant, but not everyone is happy about it. Loved this story right from the start: McKenna was abused and this is very well portrayed with her reactions to Mason and his pack, Mason is patient and kind with her and soon sees the results of his kindness and understanding to her. I would happily recommend this shifter romance. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC copy of the book.
I loved the twists, secrets and intrigue. McKenna has been an outcast her whole life. But I feel that makes her a stronger person. She has been abused in her past. She has been able to tolerate everything everyone including her parents threw at her. Last straw though is the arranged marriage to a stranger. Their clans enemy. Again she is the escape goat to a situation she has no control of. Mason is wonderful. He is so patient especially once he figures out what is going on with McKenna. I love the slow and caring way Mason treats McKenna. Love how he wins her over. What he does is special. How he protects her form danger. I love the twists and secrets. This story has feelings, you can feel the hurt, betrayal and love of the characters. Love the HEA. This is a standalone book. I was given this book from the author via Bookfunnel with no obligation to my honest review
McKenna has had it rough. She is a will shift her that cannot shift. Once married to the alpha son, who was not a very nice guy. Please note abuse trigger. Her ex even causes problems for her pack. To the point that could be a war between her pack, and the neighboring pack. The alpha of McKenna's pack, and the neighboring pack, decide to join the packs through a marriage to keep water from happening. McKenna is the FMC who will be married to Mason who has had his own downfalls with his pack. So you have two people that have failed in their packs bringing two packs together. Will it work? Will they find love?
To avoid a war between their two packs, they arrange for a marriage between Mason and McKenna, but these two are strangers to one another. Will it end up a disaster for Mason and McKenna? Or will this arrangement be something more? I enjoyed Mason and McKenna's story, the challenges they have, and how McKenna's life changes so much for her. I didn't like Tyler, he is a jerk. I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received, and giving my thoughts and opinions on it.
All I can say is Wow! This was a fantastic read. Loved Mason and Mckeena’s story, a page turner. You feel for McKenna who is an outcast in her pack and forced to marry Mason to stop a war. She already had one bad marriage and did not want another. I would recommend this book to all. I really liked it and read it in one sitting. I received an arc and the views and opinions are my own.
I knew McKenna and Mason would make it work. I also suspected her slimy alpha and his son would make her life hell, or try to. Someone needed to deal with Diego just like his menace of a son got his just due.
This story highlights genuine love for another person. Love is often claimed to be made-up tales, but this shows otherwise. If we wait until we are sure about someone's love, things do go better.
So many small editing errors. Sunny or Sonny, Tyler turned to Peter then back to Tyler. Plus there was a general drag to the story that just kept me from sinking into it.
This was a wonderful read. It was entertaining and captivating. The twist in the plot gave it an edge. The storyline was spot on. The ending was absolutely beautiful.
Meh. Boring. The h was unlikeable and I didn’t have any sympathy for her. Bad attitude and bland personality. Not a good mix. No matter whatever trauma you have. She didn’t deserve Mason.
