Five Feet

Rate this book
Five Feet is an intriguing story of 79-year-old Margaret Steaker, who lived a good life in the Midwest with a wonderful family life and the support of a nurturing, loving husband. Margaret was the mother of three boys, who were married with families of their own. At age 79, feisty and physically healthy, Margaret prided herself in being able to live independently and care for herself. Margaret lived alone, with little contact with her family. Each son lived several states away, and only called during the holidays. Margaret was a model citizen in the community and volunteered numerous hours at the local hospital. She lived alone in the house in which she and her husband, Tom, had raised their three sons. Margaret, like many living in diverse seasonal climates, made a fatal mistake of misjudging the weather on a cold winteras day.
