This is one of the few books I've seen where I truly love all of the designs except one. Most are spotty with things I love and many I do not. Having said that, this book will appeal to you if you enjoy lacy delicate feminine pieces. You will not find a 'variety' of projects. You will get 25 beautiful designs in one style. :)

The instructions are well done with photo images of each step. All materials are listed for each project. A section in the front goes over stitches commonly used in the book. All projects are rated for difficulty with 1-3 stars.

I like that there are some new stitches and components to the designs that you could use elsewhere.. a beautiful bracelet that connects 3 peyote bands could highlight any focal piece and a lovely delicate chain stitch from a lariat necklace is very versatile as well.

This is not a good choice for beginners as the designs are intricate. Not difficult per se but intricate and a beginner could easily feel overwhelmed.

So if you are looking for something different than the norm and enjoy a delicate style of jewelry you will be very pleased with this book. The projects are simply elegant and very 'old hollywood' in style and beauty.

Pretty girly jewelry designs. The 25 patterns are all similar in the way a collection or group of siblings are alike and some are more "Doable" than others. Some will have you ripping your hair and eyes out, but most of the projects are assembled with ease.

TIPS when working with this book
* Find a book stand to keep the book open
* Use the right size beads
* Invest in "thread heaven"
* Take a break now and then for your eyes and fingers

Look into this book if...
* You like pretty girly beaded jewelry (or know someone that does)
* You are patient.

On a side note, if you get the right beads you can make special occasion jewelry out of the patterns that are great for weddings and prom, but you can also make pretty complements for costuming and cosplay endeavors.

I found the instructions in the beginning "how to do various stitches" bit severely lacking, but the instructions for the projects themselves were much better. A good book for someone with experience beading, or someone without experience who's willing to supplement with YouTube videos if necessary. The author's style is pretty close to my style, so I found several projects to do.

Great book

This is well worth the money. Beautiful work, very detailed and easy to read. I've recently have been pretty disappointed with a lot of the beading books I've purchased online. This is the first book I'm truly excited to try out. Very well done.

A very handy book with good clear instructions as an introduction to beading jewellery projects (My newest hobby. I found it easy to read, easy to follow and was impressed by how much I learned in such a short time.

For beginners and intermediate who are looking for ideas etc. I wouldn't but this book although I think it would be good to look back on for reference, I did however get it from the library and extending my reservation so had it for 6 weeks.

The designs were the only thing that really knocked down my rating, they are great for weddings, fancy affairs and dinner parties but for the average day to day person some of the designs wouldn't be as wearable and are slightly elaborate.

3 stars from me.

Beautiful designs, instruction on many beginner techniques and different weaves, easy to find materials, I loved this book. I've made every project except for 1, and they all look amazing! Many of these designs look intermediate to advanced, but don't be scared! As long as you refer to the basics at the beginning of the book, beginners should have no issue following these well-illustrated and well-described instructions.
