The author shares with the reader a charming, amusing account of life with his independent, demanding and lovable Scottish terrier, Parker. Parker has previously been the focus of a diary column in the "Daily Telegraph".

Im generously rating this book at a 3, but I must admit I was contemplating a rating of 2. While anyone who knows me knows I love Scottie dogs, I wasn't expecting much from this book that I stumbled across from the 1990s. I expected a lightweight read, but it was very light, not much story there for a memoir.
Not much happened except for Parker, the Scottie, sniffing other dogs and getting into scraps with other dogs. The author moved around a lot. Although he made out that he suffered from some kind of angst, I just didn't see it. Still, I could relate to some of the doggie anecdotes and it did make me smile.
