Anabel Reed is twenty-two years old and lost. After a decade of estrangement, she finds out her mother, Meredith, has been living in southern California. Anabel sets out on a cross-country road trip to track her mother down. Meanwhile, her mother embarks on a trip of her own. Jessica Pedrosa is an Arizona desert-raised writer currently living in Portland, Oregon. She is the author of novel "WAVES" (2022), published through her indie imprint, Jess Press, and poetry chapbooks "SCORCH BLUSH" and "DEATH SPROUTS" (2020), published through the Independent Publishing Resource Center. Her work has appeared in the anthology "Scattering Theory" (2020) and online art magazine Albatross (2020). She received her Master of Fine Arts degree at Willamette University's Pacific Northwest College of Art.
