OVERALL: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 •Storyline: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 •Spice Level: 🌶🌶🌶/ 5 •Swoon level: 🫠🫠🫠🫠/5 •Re-Listen/Re-Read: I think so. Maybe? •Platform: Ebook •Trope: Work place Romance, Pilot/Flight attendant, insta lust, both characters been burned in the past.
• Thoughts: I liked this one, I actually picked this ine up because a friend of mine read it and she enjoyed it! I thought, huh, i have not read a book about a pilot and a flight attendant.. sold. And double bonus this is a new to me author. I really enjoyed the story and these characters. Jameson and Natalie are smoking hot together, and their instant connection makes you jslightly envious. Haha. These side characters were a treat as well. I also liked how the author handled the drama that came along long with this story, minus one part, which ultimately led me to rating the book at a 4 star. I instantly was upset about how Jameson and his sister had an altercation in the book, but honestly, aside from that, no complaints. It was a great read, held my attention, kept me engaged, great writing. I very much enjoyed this one and definitely recommend.
•Recommend: I will always encourage people to read what makes them happy. Even if I rate a book lower, if it sounds like a book you can get behind. Read it! I am simply here stating my views and thoughts on the book. My reviews are just that, my opinions. Happy reading, friends.
As a Chicagoan I can appreciate the author took the time to get ORD correct as well as the blue line. She did her research which off the bat made it known for me that I would enjoy the book, if not for the story, for the fact checking
This story is about a flight attendant who gets burned by a pilot. Swearing off pilots she ends up swooning over the new pilot she works closely with.
This pilot has sworn off all colleagues especially flight attendants. What happens when they catch each others eyes?!
There’s drama. There’s intensity. It’s a medium pace burn.
I actually overall enjoyed this book. It was witty. Lighthearted for the most part and kept me very engaged. I felt like the ending was rushed so it lost a star for that, but overall 4 stars and 3.5/5 for spice
Well this was a lovely treat! I really enjoyed this dual first-person dual narrative from Ms. Wray. The banter was spot on and the secondary characters added depth to the story (LOVED Stephen, hated Nikki 🤪). The overall prose was smooth and made this a quick and bingeable read. I look forward to more from this author!
𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗬 𝗤𝗨𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗦: “We’re both about to cross a line we drew for a reason.”
This author first came on my radar in October when I read her book “All My Choices Led Me Here.” It’s a medical workplace drama and it had me hooked. Totally recommend! When I saw that her latest romance, “Break My Rules” was about flying, and air travel…well that hits a little close to home so I absolutely couldn’t wait to read this. The anticipation didn’t disappoint. I just loved everything about this book. There is so much tension and angst it reminded me of a slow burn, but it was a bit more intense. This was pretty much an inferno level slow burn.
Natalie and Jameson’s chemistry is off the charts smokin’ hot 🔥🔥 Both start off trying to fight the attraction. Both fail epically. They each break their rules on dating those they work with. Jameson is a pilot and Natalie is a flight attendant. Both have had bad experiences with coworkers. Natalie’s ex was another pilot whom she caught cheating, and Jameson was falsely accused in a harassment claim…but his career suffered and he still bears the stigma of that. These two have massive chemistry which creates a ton of heat and tension. When I say tension, its through the roof!! Great cast of characters (including the flight crew) - some you will love and some you will loathe. All of this makes for one exceptionally bingeable story!! 4.5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
What do you do When you both have a STRICT no dating coworkers rule, do you dare throw that rule out the window or do you ignore your gut telling you this could be something special? If you work with Jameson Hunter you best believe I would punt kick that rule right off the plane. This book made the giddy girly girl in me come, out no lie. I loved how independent Natalie is, she doesn’t need just anyone she wants a partner to share life’s adventures with. I can totally relate. Jameson is this strong, possessive, kind and considerate attractive man. Who wouldn’t want someone like that. This story ebbs and flows and includes a little turbulence but it all feels natural and unrushed. Each chapter felt like it brought something new that you didn’t see coming. And can I please have a bestie like Stevie! The absolute best! This is one of those books you won’t want to put down. I love how everything played out and absolutely adore these two. So come fly high with Jameson and Natalie and don’t be afraid to break a rule or two.
The title alone says it all. She's a flight attendant who, after getting her heart broken by the last pilot, swore she would never date them again. But when the hot new captain walks onto the plane, will she be strong enough to fight off the instant attraction?
He moved to a new city to start fresh from the drama back home. His rule was to never date coworkers, but when he sees the woman who will be on his plane, he might just break that rule.
Wow, who knew this book would be that spicy? There was immediate chemistry between Natalie and Jameson. And let's talk about the slow burn—damn, how I was screaming at my phone for them to just get together! This book was short but packed with a lot. I loved the main characters' relationship. Stevie is the ultimate BFF. I also loved how the author threw in different languages and wrote what they meant after speaking in said language. Five stars for this one!
I literally devoured this book in two days! I couldn’t put it down! 😍😍😍 I loved the chemistry between Jameson and Natalie! The details and background information are very-well researched and play into the story in a way that pulls the reader into the fast paced world of the airline industry! I loved the rich details afforded to each day we got to spend with the characters as the reader. The building attraction between the two main characters kept me hooked throughout the story! ❤️🔥 I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a very well-written modern romance with relatable characters and an immersive story environment! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I LOVED this book. It initially is a slower burn with lots of sexual tension, then it gets SUPER STEAMY. Natalie and Jameson are the most intense couple and their chemistry is off the charts. They each have pretty terrible past relationships and have vowed never to date a coworker again. She’s a flight attendant and he’s a pilot, so you can just imagine how bad it would be if things went wrong. I really love the way @jillian_wray_author writes her characters and the short chapters made this such a page turner. Definitely pick this up if you want a steamy romance with a great storyline!
This book feels so real life like. I feel like Jillian spent a lot of time researching the "behind the scenes" stuff that happens on a flight and I loved it! I loved feeling like I was living their life!
The tension and chemisty between Natalie and Jameson 🔥🥵🥵
Such a great book and I cannot wait to read more of her books!
Instant chemistry and the inability to resist! Seriously these 2 were great! I loved the addd layer of both of them speaking multiple languages. It was fun to see them go back and forth. The siblings and found family were so good!! This was a fun fast read. I also really appreciated the sexual harassment component showing it’s not just women. If you need a feel good read you can get some in a day this one won’t disappoint.
This book has it all! Natalie and Jameson are the perfect pair. We are taken along with them in the air and in private. Spice was good but not over the top. Excellent book and I will be reading more of this writers work.
I'm joining this mile high club! 😉 So glad to finally get around to this one! So So good. Jameson might not be a rockstar (if you haven't read Jillian's Beautiful Deceit series, RUN! to read it NOW!) but dang. Where can I buy a ticket on this plane? Sometimes to find the one you're meant to be with you got to be willing to break a few of your own rules 😁
