Overall, I really enjoyed this series. It was my first paranormal/spiritual/mythology romance series so it did take me a minute to get on board. Since there are NINE main characters this book and series are told from multiple POV's including ones from secondary characters (so a lot of perspective and backgrounds are told). I felt like books one and two were more on the dark college romance side whereas book three brought in more of the paranormal/spiritual/mythology.

There were so many moving pieces to this whole plot that I did feel a little lost at times or that certain points that were being made either didn't add to the plot or were introduced but never finalized (for example, Garrison being a dom and having certain tastes in the bedroom... like why was this introduced and never brought anywhere? Why was Emmett's betrayal not elaborated further? What ever happened to Skye's dad and why did she never get closure with his relationship with Persephone? Why did we visit the past explaining how the 7 deadly demons came to existence but never got a current perspective? Why did Hades bring Walker back to life but not the rest of his army when they were all killed in battle?)

I feel like I really need an extended epilogue / novella to finish all the unanswered questions that remain!

So what can i say about this EPIC conclusion that thousands others won’t say ?
That’s the hard part.
This journey at Killdale and beyond was amazing. And Dakota wrote it in such a compelling manner that I still find myself thinking about it.
You can feel the love for these characters that she has and the time and effort put into it.

This was the end of it …
And while I am gutted that it is the end; it ended beautifully.
It ended strong. It gave the heart ache. It gave the spice. It gave the adventure and the plot twists.
I laughed, I cried, I yelled.
The world was expansive and it was magical.


I have a feeling Hell House will always hold my heart but I also cannot wait to see what comes next.

This series was OK. The ending felt kinda rushed and I feel like two of the guys (Emmet and garrison) don’t really get the same bonding time with Salem to develop such a relationship. But then again life and death situations do bring people together! Luckily dear old dad (Hades) is all powerful and saves the day in more ways than one. I thought he’d be more obstinate when it came to learning the truth about his wife but somehow hearing from multiple sources helped move things along quickly and allow him to take down Chaos once and for all. Honestly though I’m still bitter about him so ruthlessly having Pierce tortured, like that went too far for me. I’d take my hell-hound and say adios dad 😎

Reign of hell house is the third and final book in the series and I must say it fell very flat for me. The first two were nothing fantastic but were interesting enough for me to keep reading. This one however, was abysmal. The world building was almost non existent, the characters were annoying, ridiculous, and quite childish, and don’t even get me started on all the random ass plot twists in the 290 pages I read.
The one and only reason I finished this was because I flew through it and it only took me a hour and a half.

It's truly sad that this journey is over, I have absolutely loved my time with this group of characters from Kildale Academy!

With this many characters you would think it would be had to keep up but Dakota is amazing at letting each character have its own story! It all came together perfectly ❤️

Reign of Hell House pops in right where we left off in Queens of Hell House. The group is split and they struggle to get back together. It becomes harder then you think as things start to change as more secrets come out.

Amazing series, Dakota! I truly can't wait to see what you give us next.

This is the third and final book in the series. And as always please read the content warnings and triggers first.

So the fabulous Dakota is always so gracious to gives us recap so just in case he don't have time for a reread you know where this story is starting.

So with all that being said.. strap is cause baby your in for a ride. It doesn't take long for some of the burning questions to be answered and I will say this a few things blew my mind. So much so I had a very hard time putting this book down.

Now lets talk about the ladies and their men. Oh how I enjoyed watching the relationships play out. I mean I even turned the corner on my opinion on Emmett. And then there was Garrison, holy crap. I am so sad we got so little out of him through three books.

But overall I enjoyed this book and series. Yet so sad to see it end

& you're gonna tell me that they went STRAIGHTTT to ass play...WITH NO LUBE!!! for both these girls...the VERY FIRSTTT TIMEEE they have 2 guys at one time...but then..when they mention dvp..home girl literally stops sucking one of the 4 cocks she has stuffed in her face to say "absolutely the fuck not"???? nah. thats clown behavior!! & like...literally at 84% left in the last book of this series...is when we decide to now form an army & train the group with absolutely no experience? lol okay...

First of all I’m having a small crisis because this world is officially over and I am sad. I was not ready to say goodbye and then it was just over! This book was just amazing. Salem being the BA girl she is, Skye coming into her own! And I’m sorry Daddy freaking Garrison! I never thought much about him until this book and 🌶️🌶️🌶️. If you have not started the Kildale Academy series you have to!! This is your sign!!

Another 4.5 star rating! The themes of this book massively reminded me (for obvious reasons) of ‘A Touch of chaos’ which I thoroughly enjoyed! I kinda wish the first book was more cantered around the Underworld etc. Really loved the shift from ‘ohh dark romance, why choose’ to fantasy, mates!

The two groups were thoroughly adorable, I do think it wasn’t so much shocking and dark romance as the first two books. Still utterly smutty which is always a fav. I’m sad it’s over tbh! I could have read another couple of books with these characters!

Holy H3ll!!! Dakota what a wild ride this series was & not gonna lie I’m sad for it to end. But I have to say I loved it. Reign of H3ll was intense, wild, spicy, & lots of twists! I couldn’t put it down. It had me on the edge of my seat. The spice was so good and hot too! Definitely recommend this series cause personally I couldn’t get enough of it. 🖤🖤

What a perfect ending to this series! I’m so glad the hellish gang is finally back together and the addition of Hades and Persephone! I did not see that coming but I am 100% here for it. Persephone is usually portrayed as such a sensual, usually sweet albeit naive character…I loved this sinister take on her. Skye and Salem as sisters? Could not have been a better ending. They were already family without the blood, this just made their bond all the more stronger. Seriously, I loved this entire journey from start to finish and I’m so glad Pierce is finally back. I missed him something fierce.

That was so fun to read! 😍 There’s so much packed into this book that it keeps it at a fast pace. I really loved all the surprise twists we got to see. The series was wrapped up perfectly and so entertaining with all the action and things that unraveled. I don’t wanna give anything away so I’m trying to be very selective here in what I say 😂😂😂 I’m so sad the series has ended but so grateful to have arc read all three books! You’re in for a fun ride with this book so buckle up 🖤

I've been here since Dakota released Hell House, and I never expected it to turn out the way it did. Oh my god! I don't think I have words for this book. There is so much new information that comes to light, and then there is heartbreak. But I expected to be hurt with this one. I am so happy to finally have the end of this tale. These characters have become people I look forward to seeing!!! I almost rioted about one part towards the end, but things changed.

3⭐️ Nope. There was just too much wrong with this last book, and I didn't like where the story went. I tried really hard to sit here and think of the positives so that I wasn't writing down only criticisms, but I couldn't come up with any new ones, so Im just going to be honest. I will say… these are my own personal opinions, and I happen to be a pickypotomus, so if you like, why choose with a touch of paranormal, don't listen to me- you may like this series.

✅️GOOD

I’m sorry, but I didn't like anything about this last book that I haven't already listed in my last 2 reviews.

Bad❌

❌️There are quite a few editing errors. Here are just 2 examples:

Ch.13 “Maybe if we ever get out of here, we can get you a tattoo that reads ‘No ragrets’.

Ch.17 “I stare down at his crooked and broken from, blood seeping from his body.”

“Hades envelopes me in an awkward embrace, and I feel a rouge tear slip down my cheek.”

❌️I'm not a huge fan of the fact that this third book spent too much time incorporating and even rewriting Greek mythology. It got kind of ridiculous. It became less about the original characters and their relationships and more about Persephone trying to overthrow Hades.


❌️There was not enough time given to each man in the 2 why-choose groups. Some men were not developed as a character or romantically with the FMCs. An example of this is Garrison. He has no one on one time with Salem and barely joins the why-choose.

❌️At the end of the book, when Hades knows there will be an attempted take over and the castle and his throne will be attacked in a week - Instead of keeping his daughters and their “mates” safe, he puts them in with the demon soldiers and “trains” them to sword fight- in less than a week lol it would take at least half a year just to build the strength for these two small modern day 20 year old women to even hold a heavy steel sword up- nevermind learn how to fight against evil demon soldiers, but okay…. Why the heck wouldn't he just stash them somewhere safe in the castle, or better yet, send them all back up to the mortal world where they belong?!! That made ZERO sense!

❌️PLOT HOLES

1) Chapter 5- when Salem wakes up in purgatory and is surprised, she is possessed by a demon. She acts like this is new information that she just found out, which she didn't

Book 3/ Chapter5- “This is all too much. Seeing my father again, finding out I was possessed. “I was- I was possessed?” I feel my eyes widen and my palms become slick with sweat. He nods at me.

As you can see in this blurb from book 2, she already knows she’s possessed by the headmaster's demon- aka Chaos.

Book 2/Chapter 47- “When the headmaster died, do you know what happened to the demon that was inside him?” She levels her gaze at me. “Where did it go?” I stare back at her. “Not far.” Her eyes search my face. “Stop fucking around, Emmet.” Walker says, clasping my shoulders, but I keep staring at Salem, waiting for her to figure it out. Realization hits her, and her mouth drops open. “No.” She gasps, standing up like she can get it out of her with the momentum. “What?” Walker asks. “No fucking way!” She says, running to the mirror that sits over the mantel. She searches her face. “You can’t see it, Salem. It’s in you.” The entire room stills. “How the fuck do we get it out!” She screams, clawing at her chest. “If we knew that, we’d all have gotten rid of ours.” Garrison says, with a look of pity. Walker grabs me, hauling me up by my shirt until we’re face to face. “How the fuck did you know that you little shit?” I grab at his hand trying to get him to release me. “I saw her eyes flicker to black when we were in your dad’s office. I put two and two together.”

2) One minute Salem is describing the drink she was given at Hades' dinner table as tart, but then on the next page she is calling it sugary and sweet.

“Clearing my throat, I take another sip of my tart tasting drink and push around the food on my plate, not feeling hungry.”

“What… what happens if we eat pomegranates?” I ask, licking my lips that are still saturated with the drink’s sugary sweet flavor.”

3)In chapter 49- a tent just appeared out of nowhere. Where the hell did they get a tent from? Nyx and Hecate gave them a backpack with food, water and a map. Where did they get a tent? This wasn't described as a fully loaded camping backpack- just a simple small backpack.

❌️So they escape the palace. Aaaand now they’re on the run in the underworld/purgatory with no plan, no idea where they’re going or how to get back to the mortal realm, but then “all of a sudden” The Fates appear and tell them they need to go a get Pandora’s Box, for no reason- at least none that actually makes sense.

So now, their running for their lives to retrieve this box before the corrupt Persephone and her demon followers kill them and they’re hot on their trail and then they are potentially running Hades and his army when he notices them gone any minute… aaannnnd they are running from the irate Medusa who they temporarily turned to stone.

So what do they do? Keep moving as fast as they can and only stop to rest in a safe hiding spot???

Nope, they go to the local town, check in with the literal welcome wagon and announce their arrival and then go out drinking and dancing before they top the night off with everyone having sex. .

Sounds very reasonable and believable to me 👍👌(if you aren't picking up on my sarcasm, let me announce that it's definitely present)

❌️The above issue brings me to this one. The night that they party it up while being pursued by Gods who want to kill them- the two why chose groups, Salem and her men and Skye and hers, are in their two seperate rooms banging their group of men when both groups feel something “snap into place” and then all of a sudden they’re connected on a somewhat telepathic level- meaning, the men can feel their FMCs feelings and vise versa. This is utterly ridiculous! The author just throws mating bonds into the mix with all the other random things going on and without any warning or discussion about it. The characters, nor the reader, had any idea that mating bonds even exist in this world and the only reason I even know what a mating bond is is because I’ve read other books where they were explained. This book just threw it in there with absolutely no explanation before it happened or discussion after.

❌️The author doesn't give the characters time to process emotions, trauma or big life changes.

After every book, I’ve complained about the character's reactions being unrealistic and I think I’ve finally realized part of the problem- the author doesn't give the characters enough time to process the things that are happening to them before moving on to the next chapter/POV.

Here are 3 examples of this throughout the series:
Salem finds out that not only do witches exist, but she is one with actual superpowers- If I found this out tomorrow, I would be extremely shocked and in utter disbelief. I would be repeating “what the fuck” “this cant be real” over and over. I would be asking a million questions and trying to contact my family for answers. I would need to process this new reality. But apparently she doesn't. The plot just moves along and it feels like she never takes a minute to sit with this completely new reality.
Sky watching her ex boyfriend, whom she used to love, be murdered by her new possessed boyfriend. She doesn't think or talk about it again. It's like it never happened.
The mating bond. It snaps into place and they have a brief moment where they're like, “did you feel that?” and then it's on to the next thing.

Well, here we are at the end of the series. I have loved this series from the very beginning. I was hooked from the very beginning like a fiend needs their next fix. I shirked reading my next ARC coming up because I couldn't stop reading this series. Granted the arc wasn't due for the next two weeks. BUT I'm just saying that this series had a hold on me. 

Before I get into everything let's go over the Trigger Warnings ⚠️: Murder, Witchcraft, Torture, Violence, Gore, Emotional Abuse, Physical Abuse, Manipulation, Demonic Possession, Horror Elements

A LOT happened in this book. It carried on directly from the last and kept on chugging along. It definitely surprised me when Greek Mythology was used throughout the remainder of the book. I was so happy to see so many of the myths that I grew up seeing first in Hercules and then later seeing in books I read. 

I really enjoyed being able to see how much each person played such an integral part within the storyline. How each person's story played such a big part but also carried their own storyline alone. 

The main storyline built into such a crescendo and kept going until it fell off. You have this big scene being played out then it's just done. Like WHAT?? No. That isn't how it's supposed to happen. You can't just end it there. It felt too rushed. There wasn't enough retribution shown for everything that had happened over the centuries.

I want to say at least we were given a epilogue? But that was even more lackluster. It gave the most vague of an update. I felt like why even bother putting it in there? It would have been fine not even putting it in there if you weren't going to elaborate any further.

I will definitely say this is one area of the book that wasn't left undone or vague by any means. I will say that these are some of the hottest 🔥🔥🔥 scenes of all the books. 

If she could have fleshed out the rest of the book like she did these scenes than the rest of the book would have been knocked out of the park. 

With that being said I can't wait to read her other work.

Reign of Hell House was the perfect wrap up to the Kildale Academy series with a heartwarming, satisfying HEA 🤌🏻 I love the author’s writing style, and she has written the spicy group scenes so freakin well! If I wasn’t a fan of RH, I am now 🥵 Generally I love dual POV’s, but this series had multiple POV’s, and I loved it too. It was so well-written that I had no issues with keeping up with the change of POV’s.

I was pleasantly surprised with how the plot was accompanied by Greek mythology, which I’m also a really big fan of. I had guessed that Persephone would somehow be incorporated into the storyline because in the second book, I had guessed that one of the MCs would be related to her in some way. But I did not expect to see multiple Greek goddesses show up, and it was awesome to see what their supporting roles were in the story. I had such an emotional attachment to Walker, one of the MMCs, which usually I find myself more connected to the FMC. But Walker? MAJOR SWOON! 🫠 He was my favorite character and THE perfect book boyfriend.

The Kildale Series is now one of my favorite dark romance series, and Dakota Wilde has definitely become one of my favorite authors!

This includes Hell House, Queens of Hell House, and Reign of Hell.

I went into this series blind. I found this series on Bookstagram. Other that what I seen I had no idea what it was about. I just knew I needed to read it. It starts out like any dark academy book does. We get to know that characters and the school. I was hooked from like chapter 3. I love the villains and I absolutely fell in love with Pride. I love morally dark and morally black men, and these books were full of them.

I was a little surprised when Dakota Wilde through some magic in there. Again, I went in blind and just wasn't expecting it. But I was here for it. There were a couple of times that I thought the "good guys" weren't going to win. This series definitely kept me on my toes. There were a few spots that were a little predictable, but there was also a lot that I didn't see coming.

This book was high on smut. There aren't really any triggers. Normally I like my books on the dark side, with dark themes, and a trigger list a mild long. You don't get that with this series. But the characters are dark enough that I was able to enjoy this series.

I would defiantly recommend reading this series.

5 stars for story and spice from this very happy reader! I cannot believe that this trilogy is over and I’m so happy I took the plunge into this world! I loved Kildale Academy and all the sexy souls that inhabited its hallowed halls. This was the perfect conclusion to the story, giving us more insight into the families of our FMC Salem and Skye, understanding why their bond was so strong, where the magic stemmed from and learning the fates that befall the wicked. I love that this book dived into Greek Mythology and the underworld and showed us the exact moment when the sins came into the mortal realm, generations prior. I feel like the author tied the series up with a perfect bow for me, with a couple moments of are you F-ing kidding me, and then she fixed it- IYKYK. So many book boyfriends, but it was the relationships that kept me reading and clinging to each word.

What a ride!! I fell in love with the characters, the strength and the copious amounts of sass and spice that the author weaved into this series. I am so sad that this journey is over… but I did read something about family in Ash Grove so I’m hopeful for maybe a cross over with the Halloween Boys? This is a must read, but make sure to check the trigger warning at the door!

I went in reading Reign of Hell House with mixed feelings. I didn’t want to see this series come to an end; however, I had to know what happened!

This book was the PERFECT ending to the series. This is yet another book I just couldn’t put down, as there were so many twists and turns. Salem and Skye will forever be two of my favorite FMCs. and those men... well they will also be the reason you’ll find me re-reading this series over and over. Dakota, you amaze me!

In Reign of Hell House, we are thrown back into a world that Skye and Salem are trying to navigate. They are learning more about their past, their family, and their powers. All while finding themselves head over heels for the men who stand by their sides.

The men, I fall more in love with them throughout each book. Not only does their bond with Salem and Skye grow stronger, but their relationship with each other seems to do the same. They become one force that will go to battle for the women they love and nothing will stop them.

I also can’t forget to mention Satan. I mean, who wouldn’t love the hellhound that caused Salem to dub herself "mommy" all while he tried to rip the men to pieces?

I picked this series due to being sucked in by the 7 sins portion and I’m happy I stayed around for all three books. I was kind of shocked I loved it as much as I did. I’ll have to look at other Dakota Wilde books. I fell in love with the story of these men and their queens. They didn’t know just how accurate they were. The mythology plot was really cool. I fell in love with Satan even more after this book. I’m happy everything worked out. The plot twists just completely pulled me in. I’m also happy the characters who didn’t want to be pregnant were allowed to keep that decision and weren’t given a pregnancy trope. I’m also happy we expanded on the redemption arc for Emmett.

Favorite Quotes:
"Fuck no, I just want to keep you filled up with a part of me. Crotch goblin free." The thought does spark something in me though of a future with her. One day, maybe if that's what she wants. Tbh, I don't see any difference in how the guys behave without the demons/sins inside them, for all they claimed the demons where the ones to push them to do a lot of things. That whole plot line left a lot to be desired.

Not to mention who the girls turned out to be related to. Way to make them oh so special. Bah...

Everything felt a little flightly, unsupported, without the proper build-up, too much teen behaviour (for all the characters).

OH. MY. GOD!!!! I was completely floored by Reign of Hell House! Don't get me wrong the first 2 books in the series were utterly amazing but Reign of Hell House had me in complete awe of Dakota's writing 🖤I was
sucked in from the very beginning and instantly became obsessed! The Greek mythology, the sins, the demons, the magic and the MEN!!! The men and their filthy mouths kicked it up a notch in this book 🫠And I was in complete shock of Daddy Garrison!!! The control this man had over the lovers in his group had me turning into a complete puddle! And damn did I miss Pierce 🫠🫠🫠Walker and Lukas are just as drool worthy as every with their naughty naughty ways 🥵😏Sloan was a nice surprise 🥵 and I can't leave out Graham and Emmett who definitely round out the group! Love the badasses Salem and Skye turned ino as well! The twists and turns have you at the edge of your seat, never wanting to put the book down. The ending was just beautiful and a perfect end of the series! Get the complete series now! You will not be disappointed!
