Ink is a full length interconnected standalone MC romance.
Carmen
I know what I want. I’m strong, I have a child, I know my worth. So Ink walking back into my life after ghosting me? Not in the plans. He’s covered in tattoos, he’s part of a Motorcycle Club- my parents don’t approve. So here’s the choice: follow my head- or my heart.
Ink
Mystic Venom MC member, tatted up ex-con, mechanic- all true descriptions of me. I’ve never cared before what people think of that- so why now? I made a mistake when I walked away a few months ago, but I’ll change. I can fix this. I know what I want now: her.
Sadie Rose is an American author who pens fantasy novellas and romance novels. When she isn't writing she enjoys spending her free time reading, watching television and traveling.
She lives on the west coast with her husband, son and cat.
Ink and Carmen's story is a bit more fast-paced and instant. Some parts of it that I liked, some I didn't. Idk, the pacing can be off sometimes and I think Carmen was taking such big of a risk because Ink was deep in the MC war. And it definitely showed because she was a victim twice. The way the author wrapped it up just seem so easy when it's actually not, especially because of how Carmen's parents are.
*if you haven’t read Rider yet, please read Rider first before this one, it has spoilers had to what happens in the first book*
When I tell you I got so excited about this, I mean… 🤩 as soon as I finished Rider, I asked the author about when we are going to see Ink & Carmen.
This story is a continuation of the first novel but involves the best friends of Rayleighn & Rider, Ink & Carmen. Carmen is a single mother like Rayleighn and lives her with her conservative parents. Carmen is Hispanic/Latina and her family had high expectations of her, especially being a woman. So when she had a child and the father is a no show in her life, it already messes things up & causes tension.
She and Ink have enjoyed each other up until the precious Christmas party at the motorcycle club. They kinda went radio silent until now. While Ink offers to help with her crappy car (again) this brings the opportunity for them to rekindle their fire they had before 🔥
But the safety of the members of the MC Mystic Venom and the ladies are threatened when the members of another MC group tries to get revenge for what happened back in the first book. This book had some plot twists in it I didn’t see coming! And I enjoyed Rider, but Ink is just 🥵🔥 (he’s also my book boyfriend type 😉 iykyk) I am so excited for Sadie Rose and the continuation of the MC group!
Check out Ink of 05.11.23! 🏍️🧰🔨🖤💚🔥 She will also be signing at Steamy LitCon in August! 🌴
Rating: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 3.5/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Series or stand alone: stand alone (but elements of first book included) 📗
I loved Ink! As soon as I started it I knew I was going to love it. Ink and Carmen were perfect together and I loved how devoted Ink was to her daughter too. How he went out of his way to get Lucia settled in his house, my heart just melted! And I really loved how Carmen didn’t allow her parents to meddle in her relationship with Ink. She wanted to be with him, and she did. From start to finish this book was packed with action, and keeps you hanging on and anxiously flipping the pages! I haven’t read book 1- Rider and Rayleighn’s story, but I’m definitely going to and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
Carmen is a strong woman and is all about protecting her daughter along with her own heart. It was just a short time ago that Ink was in her life and just walked away due to miscommunication. Now he wants back in. I loved how Ink treated Carmen’s daughter. The drama between the Mystic Venom MC and their enemies left Ink very protective of Carmen and Lucia.
I loved the first book in this series, Rider, and this one was just as good. This was a great second chance romance and I will definitely be keeping up with this series and looking forward to the next book.
Ink is a mc, single mom romance. Carmen’s parents don’t approve of the bad boy, tattooed biker, and she has a child to think about. So, when he walks back into her life, she will not give in…. I loved reading this book, and I definitely will read the first book real soon. It’s a slow burn, as they have to trust each other again, and deserve that trust. I loved how Ink was with Lucia, feeling protective over the little girl and her mother. If you love a good mc romance, this one should be added to your list.
2.5⭐️ disappointing. Ink and Carmen’s story felt too rushed. The first half of the book was ok. It had the makings of a good story. The last half was at light speed. Carmen gets assaulted, Ink sweeps in to save the day. They move in together after only a week of talking(not a couple yet in Carmen’s eyes). Carmen’s family basically disowns her. Then poof!!! They are living HEA and then another assault. The end. Come on????!!!!! There was no real resolution to this story, just skips to the epilogue 3 months later for Ray and Rider’s wedding. I’m a big fan of insta love but at least have a story to go with it.

Looks can be deceiving, and with tatted-up MC biker Ink, that's definitely the case. He looks a bit rough around the edges, spent time in prison, but has a heart of gold that he proudly puts on display in his attempt to claim single mom Carmen while keeping her and her daughter safe from a rival MC. After the glimpses readers got of him in the previous installment in the Mystic Venom MC series, Rider, I knew I needed to see more of him and his decadently delicious flirtations with Carmen. With each turn of the page I got all that and more in this action-packed tale of revenge and second chances!
To the outside world Ink looks like nothing but a bad boy, a tatted-up criminal who women should stay away from if they value their hearts. The reality though is that he has a heart of gold, is a loving and protective man, and is completely drool-worthy in his interactions with Carmen and her daughter Lucia. Carmen and Ink might've had a rocky start to their relationship courtesy of her parent's dislike of him (and through a misunderstanding and miscommunication) but when her car once again breaks down he's given a second chance to make her his...and he wastes no time in becoming her white knight. Ink knew the moment he met Carmen that she was meant to be his and is now determined to prove it to her too. From giving her his truck to drive to bringing her and her daughter into his home when danger from actions in the previous book have a rival MC now seeking revenge. Throughout this book Ink proved his love over and over, in big deeds and small. He was a strong support to Carmen, never being overbearing, but always there for her as she navigated being a single mom. He's sweet and sexy, and his interactions with Lucia warmed my heart and made me smile.
Carmen's a single mom just trying to juggle everything going on in her realistically depicted life. It's a precarious balancing act of school, work, and parenting a sweet little girl, that implodes the moment her car breaks down again. The strong and sexy Ink is who comes to her rescue which gives them a second chance at HEA (and the sweet and flirtatious burgeoning connection they started) after miscommunication pulled them apart. Carmen's a tough heroine, one who knows what she wants out of life and is going after it. To save money she lives with her parents but it's not an easy situation as they're judgemental of her life and of her being a single mom. In a culture where women are to manage the house and care for their husband, Carmen was often made to feel like she was lacking and was a disappointment to her parents. While this hurts her feelings she doesn't let it pull her down. She's definitely her own woman and makes her own decisions without letting her family overrule her choices. She's a memorable heroine who I was rooting for from start to finish and I thoroughly enjoyed the family she made with her, Lucia, and Ink once they moved into his house. Watching all of them together just made me happy!
This book might've started off a bit slow but it quickly picked up the pace once Ink and Carmen embraced their second chance. Carmen and Ink were crackling in their interactions, sweet and flirtatious, and it's clear that they were meant to be together from the very start. Their journey to HEA was a heartwarming one, a journey full of heart and soul that was nicely balanced with the plan of vengeance set forth by the rival MC. Carmen and Ink's love was put to the test through the rival MCs machinations and kept me frantically turning the pages. Along with this unforgettable main couple was an equally entertaining cast of secondary characters, ones from the previous book and ones that have me excited for the future. On a whole this was an exciting thrill ride with a heartwarming romance that's another satisfying addition in the Mystic Venom MC series!
*Age-gap *Hispanic FMC *Ex-con MC *Single mom *Second chance
Carmen is a strong, up front single mom who is doing anything and everything she can to have a better life for her and her daughter, Lucia. Currently living with her opinionated and rather close-minded parents to save money, Carmen continues to have car trouble and cannot afford a new one without wiping out her savings or not wanting to have to worry about a payment each month. Enter Ink. Ink is an ex-con who is in the Mystic Venom MC. He is a mechanic and works at a shop with several other MC members. Carmen has previously gotten work done to her car from this place, as one of the guys who works there is her best friend’s fiancé.
Carmen and Ink had a thing a few months prior, but due to some miscommunication and misconstrued behaviors, Carmen was ghosted, or that is what she believed to be the case. After her car breaking down, yet again, Ink is the one to come to her rescue. Are they able to get past what happened before and start again? Is that even what they both want?
I felt this story was a little fast paced once it really got started after being somewhat slow in the beginning. With having the single mom trope, we can get a glimpse on what it can be like for a single parent in the dating world and how things can be misinterpreted because of that fact. Ink was great, and knew he messed up and wanted to rectify that fact. Yes, he had a past, but who doesn’t? Carmen looked past all that and went after what she wanted, despite her parents’ trying to control her life when it came to Ink, and their very blatant dislike of him. Carmen had a choice. Follow her heart or her head. After some events and actions that put a strain on everyone in the MC and those close to them, the real test occurred. What would Carmen and Ink do? Ink proved he wanted and needed to be there for Carmen, and this included her daughter. Would Carmen still follow her heart?
I loved the characters, and this includes many of the side characters. Carmen was a hard-working single mom who remained strong despite some of the hard comings that came along. Ink was persistent, and open about how he felt after the initial screw up and wanted nothing more than for Carmen and her daughter to be happy and taken care of. He went above and beyond for the two of them and regardless of what her parents thought of him, he was still there when she needed him most.
We really enjoyed Inks's story it was pretty awesome and engaging. Carmen is a single mom to Lucia and is struggling to make ends meet. I loved the way Ink was with Lucia & Carmen and how he was so protective of them both.
Loved the characters and how the MC characters were involved in Carmen and Ink's story we love that a lot as that is a big part of Ink's life and we love getting a glimpse of the new characters and their stories to come.
Love how the author took the time with this couple's relationship as trust is important especially when you have young children. Neither Carmen nor Ink has had an easy past but, we loved the fact that Ink and the way he opened up to Carmen hoping she takes a chance on him and finds him as a worthy cause and his words were so endearing and heartfelt. We loved that Carmen was a very strong woman and full of sass but, one of the things we loved most about her as her daughter comes first in all things making us love her character even more.
This author is off to a great start with this series. Not always a fan of what feels like a slow-burn romance but, in this case, it worked for this couple, and getting to know them personally and their stories were a plus. With children involved trust is so important between this couple and we loved that Ink put the effort and time in to earn that trust and would do anything to protect them not only in body but their hearts as well. The story had mystery and suspense that keeps you on edge and has some romance and a little bit of spice as it was a nice combination and filled with swoon-worthy characters. What more could a girl want? Looking forward to the other MC character's stories as we are already hooked on book one and we loved it. Looking forward to seeing more of Carmen and Ink and Lucia and how their stories play out. With any love story, the couple has ups and downs but, sometimes second chances are even better...
*cough cough* Need to clear my throat because SADIE ROSE HAS DONE IT AGAIN!
Ink was definitely nothing that I expected but in a very good way, I was expecting a more stubborn man but what we got was SO SO MUCH MORE!!! I mean that in a good way!
I highly recommend reading Rider prior to this book because it does contain spoilers but it's not needed, but Ink and Carmen's story starts there and to get a better understanding of them you definitely should read it, Ink is a big cuddly man who I will be adding to my long list of book boyfriends as my husband says "I think you're going to divorce me for one of these fictional men" LOL shoot I just might for INK
I love Ink when it comes to Carmen and how much he opened up to her!
There is still the suspense and mystery to this story that will have you on edge and wondering what will happen exactly.
I haven't read many MC romances and I'm so glad to be diving into the Mystic Venom series because it is definitely a favorite for me!
Sadie keeps giving me swoon-worthy men to fall in love with and I'm here for it! I'm Obsessed!
While I’m not sure how many books there are in the Mystic Venom MC series, Ink is the only one I have read. Of course, it features Ink, but also Carmen, a woman he is looking for a second chance with.
Ink and Carmen have crossed paths in the past, him the sexy biker and her the single mother. Carmen thought they were hitting it off at a Christmas party and just like that, Ink was gone. I liked Ink and I liked Carmen, however I didn’t like them together. Ink was way in with the MC and there was a dust up on the horizon for the club. I felt that Carmen was taking too big of a risk with her young daughter. Sure, Ink was a protector, but she had way more to lose than him.
Once Ink and Carmen figured their situation out, it seemed like the relationship went from zero to sixty. No real thought to out how things were going to work out and no regard for her parents’ feelings about Ink-granted she was an adult.
The book was a little clunky and wasn’t my cup of tea. Maybe if I was invested in the series, I would have appreciated Ink and Carmen’s story a little more.
Carmen is a single mother and she is still living with her very strict parents. So when she start hanging out with a tattooed biker her parents do not approve. And even more so when she gets attacked in their home. So what does she do now. She knows she has to think of her little girl, so maybe being with the sexy biker is best for her and her little girl… Right
Ink was infatuated with Carmen from the moment he met her. But then for some reason things just went wrong. So when he finds her again stranded with her car, this is his chance to correct his mistake. When the danger heats up at the club and Carmen is put in danger, he has to step up and prove to her that he can take care of her and her daughter 😊
Loved the story, loved the characters. We got to see a bit of Rider and Rayleighn. And its Ryder’s past that’s come back to bite the club now. Loved the suspense, loved the drama and the action. Ink was very cute with Lucia (Carmen’s daughter) and even though Carmen was worried he definitely was the alpha over protective will do anything for his girls guy 😊
Carmen is definitely an independent woman who isn't down for extra help in her life as she doesn't want her daughter to think that's the way to go later on in life, and that makes her a very tough & hard working heroine. Ink is the man that she had a connection with as their intense chemistry had them doing some sexy things prior but then he walked away without an explanation so she gave up on it. This book starts out with her car finally giving out, and it's Ink who finds her on the side of the road so now it's time for them to talk things out, and I was so impressed that she wasn't about to say a word until he did showing that despite him being perfect for her, he would have to make the first stab at communication. Thankfully, their journey really popped off as they went through it while developing something amazing between them, but between her old fashioned judgy parents, and another MC out for blood, there are some bumps in the road. This story had a ton of heat, humor from the supporting cast, and suspense as well that had me sitting still until there were no more pages so yeah, I LOVED it a ton & HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
*ARC Review* If you do not want to be spoiled by Rider and Rayleighn's story, don't do what I did and start with INk's book haha. They are full-length interconnected standalone MC romances but if you like structure start with Rider's book first ;)
This was a very fast-paced book but I absolutely devoured it. The story between Ink and Carmen is great. It is a second-chance romance and after Ink messed up at the Christmas party Carmen finds herself missing him and still bumping into him. Carmen is a strong single mom to a beautiful daughter Lucia. And Ink is part of the MysticVenom MC, ex-com, tatted, and mechanic. Two people that could not be more different from each other but the two seem to not be able to live without each other. And when there comes trouble into town from another MC Club it is Ink's chance to show Carmen that he does care so much for her and her daughter. I will go straight into Rider because even though I know the story a bit I feel like I need the book for the whole picture. But after reading this I know Rider will be amazing and I can't wait for Detroit to come out very soon! <3
•Dual POV •Stand-alone, but part of Mystic Venom MC
This MC romance was so good! 🔥🏍️
Carmen is a single mom to Lucia and is struggling to make ends meet. She lives with her parents to help, but things keep falling apart around her. Her car starts to stall out again and she finds herself in need of help from Ink. Ink is a member of the Mystic Venom MC and also works as a mechanic. Carmen & Ink had a fleeting relationship, but after finding out Carmen had a daughter, ink ghosted her, or so she thought. He asks for a second chance and Carmen agrees. Carmen’s parents do not like him because he is involved in an MC, but Carmen doesn’t let that stop her. When a rival MC enters the picture, Carmen & Lucia lean on Ink, causing a strain in her relationship with her parents. But through it all, Carmen & Ink are stronger than ever. ❤️
I’m a huge fan of MC Romances and this one was so good. I loved the involvement of the other members of the MC and how Carmen leaned on Ink & her best friend through it all. I love how Ink takes care of Carmen & Lucia and understands that Lucia will always came first. He is overly protective of them both and makes your heart SWOON! 😍
I can’t wait to read more by Sadie! 🥰
Favorite Quotes: “Just so you know. I don’t care who knows about us. You’re my only girl and that’s how I want it and everyone else can get it too. Now give me some more sugar.”
“I love you. You’re perfect for me. I won’t take one day for granted with you. I want you to know that.”
Sadie Rose is a relatively new author to me but what I have read I have enjoyed. This was a fast-paced story that ticked a number of boxes for me as I enjoyed Carmen and Ink’s second chance at love story and the fact that Carmen is a single mother was a bonus.
Ink was well written and a good addition to the Mystic Venom MC series. Ink has a colourful past as an ex con and member of the MC, life has not always been easy for him, but he has few regrets.
His one regret is leaving Carmen. Can he convince her to take a chance on them? Will she go against her parents’ wishes and take her chance at happiness?
I loved how all in Ink was, determined to prove he is worthy of her love? Carmen is a little more cautious, after all she has a lot to lose but I liked her sass and feisty attitude.
I loved everything about Ink (Mystic Venom MC) and l’m excited for what’s to come from this MC series. This is ex con Ink and single mum Carmen’s entertaining journey and all I need to say is this was a captivating story that I highly recommend. Life has not always been easy for Ink and Carmen and to make matters worse her parents believe he is not worthy of the love of their daughter and grandchild. Ink will do whatever is needed to prove he is worthy but he needs to believe he is worthy first. So can Ink convince Carmen to take a chance and walk away for her family in order to find happiness for them both…..one click to find out. I loved the strong and protective Ink and I adored the strong and sassy Carmen but it was the love they felt for each other that took this book to another level.
Sadie Rose has a brand new book out and surprise, surprise she's a brand new-to-me author. Ink is in her Mystic Venom MC series and while this is my first in this series, I was able to follow along with this standalone fairly quickly.
Ink gives us Carmen and Ink's story and whew. What a complicated (at times) book this was. Second chances, single parent, mc issues.. let it all begin. This book right here was unexpectedly fast-paced at times and packed to the brims with loads of heat, steam, suspense, and those pesky- must have feels.
I'm not a huge mc reader but something about that blurb, the tropes present, and the lickable cover had me signing up with the quick. I'll definitely give Sadie another chance in a future release... maybe a different trope the next go round.
While this was a good story, I will say, for me it all progressed very slowly and was hard to keep the momentum while reading. This story has one of my absolute favorite tropes! Carmen is a single mom to Lucia and life hasn’t been super great to her. Ink unintentionally ghosts Carmen due to miscommunications but eventually sees how that was a mistake. They start a relationship but a rival MC starts causing trouble.
I loved the way Ink was with Lucia, his protectiveness of them both. MC romances are some of my favorites because of the found family aspect of them and it was shown in Ink. The MC is truly a family and they look out for each other. Ink and Carmen had some obstacles but in the end they got their HEA.
This is my first read of the Mystic Venom MC series and Sadie Rose books, I’m absolutely hooked. I’m definitely grabbing the other books in this series so I know everyone’s story. I loved this book because the way it’s written just felt natural, like I was reading a couples diaries. Carmen has been through a lot being a single mom and is hesitant about getting into a relationship that could hurt her daughter also. Ink shows her he’s not going to hurt her or her daughter Lucia, and he’ll do anything to protect them both. There is a little spice but it’s more of telling how their relationship develops. I’m hoping for glimpses into their relationship in the next book to see how it works out and also to find out another member’s story.- Elizabeth
I enjoyed Ink and Carmen's story. Because they had already met and had established chemistry this book moves a little faster than most. And while it is a standalone there is an established conflict that carries over from the previous book in the series. It was easy to catch up on what was going on.
Carmen is a single mom who knows what she wants and what she deserves. So after she was ghosted by Ink, she was not expecting him to walk back into her life. She's attracted to the tattoo-covered man even if her parents don't approve of him.
Ink knows he made a mistake when he walked away from Carmen months ago. But he's gonna do what he can to show her that he's here to win her back. So when trouble shows up on the MC's doorstep he'll do his best to stay out of trouble but make sure Carmen and her daughter are safe.
Thank you so much to the author and Wildfire Marketing for this ARC to review.
I was so looking forward to Carmen and Ink's story, and Sadie Rose did not disappoint, it was actioned packed from the start - I do love a tattooed biker bad boy, and although Ink is all those things when it comes to Carmen and her daughter, he is a big teddy bear, this is an instant attraction that started the Christmas before but through a misunderstanding, the pair have been keeping their distance but with a connection like theirs it wouldn't be long before the flame was relit and the couple rekindles their attraction, the danger that was in the book before comes back to cause problems for the MC and their women can Ink keep the woman and child his life safe and have the HEA they all deserve.
This is my first Sadie Rose book and I was not disappointed. It was a fast read, there were a couple edge of your seat moments, but the character’s instant chemistry is one that will not let you put the book down. Ink and Carmen’s chemistry is steamy and full of angst from the beginning. He takes charge and knows what he wants once she gives him the okay to try again, after clearing a misunderstanding. His alpha possessiveness had me totally there for it. But the sass from Carmen challenged him in ways that he definitely enjoyed. I definitely enjoyed this fast MC read and will definitely want to continue the series.
Each book gets better and better. Carmen is a single mom of a 3 year old daughter who lives with her parents while saving money . she is going to school and working as well. Ink is a mechanic at the MC shop as well as a club member. They first meet in book one and due to some miscommunication they didn't continue the relationship. What I love about this is Ink is a man who knows what he wants. He loves Carmen and her daughter and is not afraid to say it or show it. There's some problem with another MC and I liked how the club handled it. The heat in this book is 5 stars. Loved it.
Carmen and Ink are super into each other but when Carmen brings Lucia, her daughter, to a function where the MC is present Ink really clams up on her. He unintentionally ghosts her and that hurts. Through that misunderstanding, they don’t talk for months until her car breaks down on the side of the road. Carmen is cautious when Ink wants to move forward with their relationship. When a rival MC has the Mystic Venom MC in their crosshairs Carmen gets pulled into the middle. Will Ink be able to protect her? I love how Ink is so protective over Carmen and Lucia. He is so sweet with Lucia. I can’t wait for the next book of the series!!
Single mom, MC guy romance. I have always loved the found family aspect of most MC romances and this book did not disappoint in that area. The Mystic MC is under attack and Ink is trying to balance that with a newly re-budding romance with a girl he let slip away the first time. I love how fast pace Ink is, he wants Carmen and lets it be known from moment one. Carmen is finding it hard to trust Ink's sincerity, but when she does, this book moves quickly. Definitely a good read, if you are looking for fast paced and swoon worthy.
I love me a single mom romance and then you throw in a hot biker man and oh boy am I completely sold. This was Carmen and Ink’s story and I really enjoyed. I loved that he was this really strong alpha biker guy but yet he was so sweet and caring when it came to Carmen and Lucia. They started off a little rocky but he kept showing her that he was always going to be there for them. He was willing to do whatever he had to to keep them two safe. I loved this book and would recommend.
Alright y'all not gonna lie this one started really slow for me and took me awhile to get into it. Carmen is amazing mom to Lucia but life just sucks and hasn't always been fair. I found it so hard to believe that Ink ghosted her but he did make up for it. Ink is so protective of Lucia when a rival MC starts crap. Mystic Venom is definitely a family tho and you know that early on. These two definitely have some bumps and drama along the way but they do get there happy eventually.
Sadie Rose is a new author to me. I love to read MC romance books and the synopsis of Ink sounded so good. I loved the single parent main character. She had a strong personality and was portrayed like a great single parent that I could identify with. I loved the way Ink was with Lucia, his protectiveness of them both this is not always typical. Sadie Rose has a great world building and character development which makes her characters/ world feel real. I can't wait to read more of the Venom MC.
Oooh my….Ink was filled with lots of action, twists, turns, things going sideways, drama, angst, all the feels, and soo sooo much heat 🔥🔥. I enjoyed reading all about Ink and Carmen’s story. They both had ups and downs and they have a lot happen to them. Readers need to read Ink to find out any details. Just know that you won’t regret reading Ink. I can’t wait for Detroit to be released. Sounds like it is going to be another wild ride. Happy Reading!!
