Read this for my reading class. It was just.plain.bad.

Even though I had to read this book for my english class I was very surprised that I found it very interesting and good. I liked how the story went through the whole book... if you want to have an easy reading and something interesting with a little twist, you must read this. :)

I was supposed to read this for my english class.
I think it's okay, but I didn't feel the level difficulty, also, as someone who reads YA books, even if this is a crime/mistery book, it was for childs, not teens in their 17 years old.
Interesting but so short and predictable.

I like this book, it was so interesting, but while reading I saw some stupid moments that cannot be happened in real life.

Este libro lo leí para el institutoy decidí incluirlo porque pensé que iba a estar bueno como el del año pasado (uno de Agatha) pero terminó siendo un tanto predecible lamentablemente.
La historia empieza dividida en dos, una parte habla del matrimonio Fenton, Colin y Julie, y la otra del matrimonio Bentley, John y Linda. En un visita de Colin a Brentwood se encuentra con Linda y vaya coincidencia, el y John son idénticos; por lo cual, Linda decide tomar ventaja de esto para llevar a cabo el tan deseado robo que viene planeando con su marido hace tiempo largo, para su desgracia Colin acepta pero los resultados para el no son tan favorables.
En si la historia es corta pero llega un punto que es aburrida leerla de lo predecible que es y los capítulos se van convirtiendo en relleno.
Lo que puedo destacar como un punto a favor de la novela es que el final es un buen final y deja todo cerradito.
PD: mi compa del insti me dió un falso spoiler del libro lo que hizo que este con la guardia alta, pero al menos el final no le me lo esperé tanto jaja

I enjoyed reading this book but I give 4 stars as

Solo leí esta novela porque era para mi clase de inglés. Los personajes y la trama fueron muy planos, en mi opinión. El final fue simple.

Officially Dead es una de las novelas que tuve que leer para inglés.
La misma trata sobre Colin, un hombre que trabaja en una compañía de softwares con su esposa Julie. Debido a esto, suele viajar con frecuencia, y en uno de esos viajes decide visitar un pub y tomar una cerveza. Sin embargo se sorprende al encontrarse con un hombre, John, que luce igual a él, de tal modo que podrían ser gemelos.
Esto conlleva a que Colin conozca a los Bentley, una pareja local. Colin no puede dejar de pensar en Linda, la esposa de John, luego del encuentro. Esto solo motiva a un segundo encuentro, pero las cosas se ponen más oscuras de lo que Colin esperaba. Cuando Linda le ofrece hacerse pasar por su esposo por 10 mil libras, Colin se verá dentro de una vorágine de problemas al aceptar. Empero, ¿qué sucedería si el plan fracasa?
Siempre me gusta recalcar que sé que estas novelas no son para extraer algo profundo o análitico, ya que no son escritas para ello. Pero aún así carecen de atractivo por las mismas razones.
Los personajes son bastante planos, es decir; no hay ningún proceso desarrollado, desde el comienzo de la historia hasta el final se mantienen en un porte muy líneal. Creo que el personaje más interesante ha resultado ser Linda por una cuestión de que se nos explica su infancia y eso nos permite dar contexto de su vida actual junto con sus decisiones.
La historia en sí misma es llamativa, pero tampoco logra ser atrapante. Personalmente no me vi motivada a seguir leyéndola más que porque 1) debía rendir un oral con ella y 2) no me gusta dejar novelas en la mitad. Aún así, es entretenida, las páginas se pasan rápido y comprende un final que a mi parecer ha sido lo mejor de todo: es puramente realista en cuanto cómo sucede el cierre y a la situación en sí misma.
También admito que la novela no tiene enteramente la culpa: al leerla en época de parciales, la agarraba cuando tenía tiempo y eso conllevó a que existieran ciertos desbalances porque jamás estaba realmente en el mood para leerla.
Sin embargo, siempre valoro que las novelas traten sobre temas más serios y no sean historias tan idílicas.

it was pretty good :the story,the events and the charachters devolpment and it kept me curious about what will happen next . But the part of solving the mystery was kinda short , actually I guess that the whole story is a bit short and i feel like it's missing something . Generally it was good and i enjoyed reading it.

No me disgusto la verdad, fue muy rápido y fácil de leer, además fue entretenido. Pero para ser honesta, la trama es muy simple y los personajes re pelotudos (experto mark <3333) .

How wonderful this little book is!
If you ever think short stories are just uninterested books. You are so wrong.
This book shows that 'never underestimate short stories ever!'
I was so obsessed while reading this. Like seriously. Like really obsessed.
It keeps me thinking what is gonna happen next? When do people know the truth?
I'm considered myself as an impatient reader. If I find the book uninterested, I just gonna put it down and can't continue reading it for a week or more.
But I have to read it. Have to finish what I have started.
Recently I've been reading Macmillan Readers because I think it's the best way to improve my English. I'm a English non-native speaker.
This book doesn't only help me improve English vocabulary but also help me entertain in the best way it possibly could .
It is about two men who just look identical as twins. They accidentally met in the bar.
And this guy, John Bentley, was a thief who ended up in prison for several years.
But his wife, Linda Bentley sees a chance that they can use this opportunity for John to rob a jewelry shop that she's working for.
She explains to this guy, Colin Fenton, that he and John can exchange identity.
For John, to rob. And he will get the money.
But then Colin's unexpectedly dead in the accident. Left this all unsolved.
I hope this is not a spoiler.
In conclusion, it is not only good but also addictive.
If you are the one who likes reading mysterious genres. You will love this.

Had to read this book for my English class. Was too easy to be honest, but the story wasn't THAT bad. Just a little too unrealistic and predictable. It was fine I guess. Good book for people who are struggling to learn English though.
