I won this book from Goodread's First Reads program.

I was pretty excited about getting this book. I love movies that involve government organizations or spies. If I could bundle my love of Jason Bourne style intrigue and action with an in depth relationship I would be one happy camper. Who could pass that up? Too bad that spies are a lot more boring in book version...

This is going to be a really hard review for me to write. It will probably end up being a lot shorter than my other ones too. It's really hard to think of what to say about a book that you didn't love and you didn't hate. It was just...there. I was very apathetic about the whole thing.

Even things that normally irritated me didn't get a rise out of me in this one. The relationship was flat and underdeveloped, but I just didn't care enough to actually want more depth. The secret agents seemed really dense and blatant, but I just didn't care enough to be bothered. There was even a part that I thought would piss me off for sure. It was where Owen and Tyler tried to use some computer skills to get into an encrypted thumb drive. It would have been much better if the author had just glossed over the details. Then it wouldn't have seemed like a third grader could do it... But even then it was only a minor irritation that passed quickly.

There was nothing wrong with the book, but it just seemed to plod along for me. The action scenes were brief and uneventful, and so were the sex scenes. It just felt monotonous. My attention wandered frequently while I read this, and I kept picking it up and putting it down. I even picked up two more books in between the time I started this book and finished it.

When the bad guy was revealed I actually couldn't remember who he was. I had to skim in the beginning to refresh myself. There were a lot of names thrown around in this book, and with my attention wandering it was hard to remember them all. I really felt that the bad guy seemed to come out of nowhere. Also, that was the lamest reason for being a bad guy that I've ever heard...

I think if you like reading about spies and government organizations you might enjoy this book. As for me, I'll stick to the movies from now on. At least then I have lots of cool fight scenes to distract me from thin characterization.

2 1/2 stars - I didn't hate it, but I sure didn't like it.

OK, here’s the thing. I haven’t really had any books that have done this to me. This book made me feel apathetic. I didn’t care if I finished it or not. It’s not because it was a horrible book, it wasn’t bad at all. It wasn’t good either. It was simply OK. But then, OK is just not good enough. Why? Take a look at the plot – this had the potential to be an excellent, intense, edge of my seat type of read.

Tyler is a member of the A-TAC team, a CIA unit that works on covert missions. While on a mission delivering prototype detonators, her team is hijacked and she is the lone survivor. The rest of the book is spent trying to find the person or persons responsible for this crime and to stop those detonators from being used.

Oh, and I left out the romance aspect. Right after her team is killed, and after a lengthy debrief, Tyler decides to console herself in a hotel bar and meets the one night stand guy of her dreams. Am I wrong to think that after having a near death experience, you would want to have a one night stand? Of course the man was compared to James Bond. Then she ends up working with him – how uncomfortable.

What amazed me about this book was the amount of death that followed Tyler. It seemed like in each chapter someone either tried to kill Tyler or someone was killed.

I have to admit that the last 15 pages were extremely exciting. I really was on the edge of my seat. It’s really too bad that the suspense could not have permeated the entire book. It would have greatly increased my enjoyment

4 stars – Romantic Suspense

The thrilling A-Tac series centers on an elite CIA Black Ops unit of men and women with different areas of expertise (communications, extraction, munitions, computer hacking) who use their positions as faculty at an Ivy League university for cover while secretly fighting terrorism and taking on the government’s most clandestine, dangerous missions.

The series began with a bang in Dark Deceptions as the team’s second in command Nash Brennon raced to thwart an assassination attempt by his former field partner, lover, and traitor?, Annie Gallagher. It heated up to explosive levels in Dangerous Desires as extractions expert Drake Flynn battled mercenaries and his sizzling attraction to CIA informant/package, Madeline Reynard, while evading dangers in the Colombian jungle. And things came to an intriguing, exciting end in Desperate Deeds as demolitions specialist Tyler Hanson and sexy, mysterious, Bond-like spy and former MI-5 British operative, Owen Wakefield, chased down hijacked nuclear weapons, while also trying to uncover a mole within A-Tac, to prevent a calamitous terrorist act of destruction. The trilogy was wrapped up rather nicely, but some matters were left unresolved and a few characters still need their own story, so it’s a good thing there are more A-Tac books slated for 2011 and 2012.

With interesting characters, military intrigue, espionage, kick-a** agents balancing duty and the goal of the mission against their own desires, high-octane action, and steamy hot romance, A-Tac is a satisfying romantic suspense series that fans of authors like Stephanie Tyler, Suzanne Brockmann, Cindy Gerard, Marliss Melton, Catherine Mann, and Cindy Dees should find appealing.

Dark Deceptions, 4 stars.
My favorite of the series, Dangerous Desires, 5 stars.
Desperate Deeds, 4 stars.

This is the 3rd book in the series. There were so many twists and turns in this book . It is about Tyler and Owen. I loved Tyler from the previous book and I was not disappointed. Tyler is one touch chick. I loved that was never beat around the bush kinda person. She laid it all out there whether you liked it or not. Tyler is so damn smart and such a risk taker. Seriously loyal to her friends and family, keeps emotions in check always. Owen ,oh you naughty boy! I was kinda mad at him through some of the book. Don't get me wrong he was super sweet and had emotions when Tyler didn't. But his hidden agenda made me mad at him lol. Tyler referred to Owen as James Bond. lol I can see that in my head. British accent and all. It was such great chemistry between the two of them.

OMG finding out who the mole was , was killing me. I mean I had an idea then I tossed it out then went back to it. Wow the mole IT was so screwed up! I was like NOOOO!! But what can you do? Ok so here is my only complaint because seriously the book was great, but...... there was so much tragedy, I mean one thing after another and it all centered around Tyler.Senseless deaths and through it all Tyler would think about it for a moment and then say push it back. Wait until later I have things that need to be done. Meaning looking for the baddies. So by the end of the book I was like ok let it out Tyler. Come on baby cry ,scream something!! Nope never happened.Give me even one paragraph! I was seriously like ummmm, yeah I would be a mess. Also I do not recall Owen ever telling Tyler that he loved her. Just that he cared a lot. In light of everything I was really hoping he would throw it out there. But nope. Like I said no biggie just wished for it .

Found out who the next book is about and I am seriously excited! Cant wait for that one.

Desperate Deeds is the third book in Dee Davis's A-Tac series and I thoroughly enjoyed. The questions that have been haunting me since book one (Dark Deceptions) are answered yet it leaves it open enough in the end that there may be more A-Tac books to come in the future. I am not quite ready to leave the fascinating world of A-Tac and I am hoping there will be a spin-off set in the same world (surely Avery deserves his own story).

In Desperate, we get to know more about Tyler Hanson, a demolitions expert and a recurring character in the first two books. I really liked her--she is smart and tough but she still has a feminine side. She is the kind of heroine I like reading about as she is interesting and multi-dimensional. Her hero is Owen Wakefield and he's okay; he is supposed to be British but I wasn't really feeling it. Tyler and Owen are great together and I thought the chemistry is there. Desperate is not as pulse-pounding or fast-paced as book two, Dangerous Desires (my favorite!), but there's plenty of action and don't think you know who the mole is... there's a few twist and turns before we find out.

Though this book can be read as standalone and you can easily catch on the the back story, I think you'll enjoy Desperate more if you read the first two books. However, if you read the first two in the series, then this book is definitely a must-read. Overall, I think Dee Davis can definitely write thrilling romantic suspense and Desperate Deeds is a satisfying conclusion to a great series.

Not the best writing I've come accross. There were so many used-up cliches that I was rolling my eyes most of the time and thinking "I can't believe she used that one as well". "If those detonators fall into the wrong hands" "what was good for the goose..." "No time like the present" "It would have been a happy ending if only you'd wanted me instead of that damn Brit" "Let her go" "Fat chance she's all mine now". The characters were completly forgettable, the plot was loose and flat and the action really unbelievable.

I would like to see this author take more interest in building her characters before throwing them into unrealistic situations. Taylor, for instance, shows very few signs of devastation in finding her father and stepmother dead and then her friend and on and on. The very next morning she's displaying a chipper attitude and can't wait to "catch the bastards that did this", yet another overused cliche.

Funny enough, her best writing was during the sex scenes.

Very disappointing.

This is by far one of the best romance novels I have ever read. I wouldn't really call this a romance novel though. There were only 3 bedroom scenes. Even though I didn't read the books in order I did understand this book.

Dee Davis uses great descriptions. The plot is really good. Someone steals some weapons from the British government and is trying to frame Tyler in the process. First the thief uses Tyler's scarf to lure her. The culprit goes way too far. He kills Tyler's stepmother and father. He also places cameras throughout her house including the bedroom and the bathroom. That is just sick.

This book alone has made me want to read the rest of the books in the series. I may even try Davis's other books. This book didn't annoy me at all.

If your looking at this book to read and havent read the first 2 books I recommend doing that first.. This book for the most part wraps up an on going story arc that started in the first book. Dee Davis has created characters that you come to love through out all 3 books. There are more books to come that will have the story of other characters we met in these 3 books. I for one am looking forward to Tucker Flynn story. This was my first time reading this author and I can say after buying and reading the first book I immediatly bought the second read it and then the third.. Sad I have caught up with series and have to wait until July for Lara Prescott story and then August for Tucker Flynn...

To be honest I'm writing this review with there being a pretty large span between reading it and now, but I still remember it as if I read it yesterday. This series just keeps getting better for me. I loved the chemistry between the main characters, and how Strong Tyler was. The only thing that broke my heart was the ending and who it came down to as the villain. Even though I know it had to work the way it did and it made for one amazing story.

This was a steamy, heart pumping thrill ride that will leave you wanting more.

I picked this up years ago at a used book store to kind of dip my toes into the stereotypical mass market paperback romance world. i enjoyed the suspense of this, but I feel like what I really lacked from it was the relationship development from Tyler and Owen. How are they all of a sudden so in love? Where is the foundation for it all? I feel like it was just: distrust -> sleeping together (again) -> we're in love! It just didn't roll the way I needed it to. The mystery and suspense of the plot and the twists were enjoyable.

Desperate Deeds by Dee Davis
Romantic Suspense- July 27th, 2010
4 stars

Dee Davis's A-Tac black-ops series continues in the 3rd and latest thrilling installment with Desperate Deeds. The best thing about this book is how it builds upon the characters from her prior books. Plus any of her books can easily be read by itself. These books are fast and suspenseful reads that are filled with realism, tension and high emotion. I just found out she will continue this exciting series and was delighted since I feel the A-Tac team has so many remarkable characters that I want to explore them further!

Tyler Hanson is surprising called to duty to help escort a military transport. But a routine mission goes badly when everyone dies except her. She is immediately put under scrutiny and heavy suspicion. While under interrogation she tells them everything except holds back the mysterious sighting of scarf at the scene that reminds her of a past tragedy. Tyler blames herself for the men's deaths. Down and out she only wants to drink and forget. She shares a night of passion with a one night stand named Owen Wakefild. And Tyler finds his British charms are just what she needs to forget. But soon she is shocked when she gets back to headquarters to discover that Owen has been assigned to work with her!

Owen is exceptional at what he does. But when he is called to infiltrate and discover the traitor in A-Tac his usually clear thinking is clouded by his instincts. His passionate night with Tyler combined with her constant company convinces him that she is not the informant but he doesn’t have the proof of her innocence. He must fight his gut feeling but emotions keep getting in the way.

Dee Davis's strong writing made this a fast and easy read that suspense fans will be sure to enjoy. The plot kept me turning the pages as I wondered who the real traitor was. But what I found stood out in this book is how relatable the heroine, Tyler is. She has a gruffer exterior than many heroines and a lot of flaws. Her tough and direct no-nonsense personality gave me feeling that she could easily handle herself in the rough man's world. I liked how comfortable she was with herself and her confidence in her skills. But behind her tough exterior reminders of her past leave her emotionally fragile.

On the other hand, Owen with his British charm is seems more emotionally centered and more polished. I enjoyed how the author sort of 'switched' the roles of the main characters. While Owen is by no means 'girly' he definitely is the smoother character and he reminded me a bit of James Bond. Tyler is the more forceful of the 2. I liked how she came on to Owen and instigates their first night of passion. It didn't make Tyler less feminine but her more aggressive nature was a fresh and interesting layer to their relationship that I enjoyed. They had real chemistry and their scenes together really heated up the pages. I also liked how they both had to sort out their feelings especially when Tyler finds out Owen has been lying and spying on her. He has to do some real fast talking.

This was a superb suspense novel that was easy to read and thrillingly entertaining. I particularly loved discovering why Tyler was targeted and reading Owen's torn emotions when he is sent to discover if she is a traitor.

Author Dee Davis has a BA in Political Science and History, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. During a ten-year career in public relations, she spent three years on the public speaking circuit, edited two newsletters, wrote three award winning public service announcements, did television and radio commercials, starred in the Seven Year Itch, taught college classes, lobbied both the Texas State Legislature and the US Congress, and served as the director of two associations. She’s won the Booksellers Best, Golden Leaf, Texas Gold and Prism awards, and been nominated for the National Readers Choice Award, the Holt and two RT Reviewers Choice Awards. To date, she has sold eighteen books and three novellas in contemporary romance, romantic suspense, and time travel romance including: Set-Up in Soho, A Match Made in Manhattan, Midnight Rain, Dancing in the Dark, Chain Reaction, Exposure, Enigma, After Twilight, and Just breathe. She’s lived in Austria and traveled in Europe extensively, and although she now lives in New York, she still considers Texas home.

After coming down off a high from a mission, Tyler Hanson seduces handsome British operative, Owen Wakefield, with no intention of ever seeing him again. But one of her A-Tac unit members has gone traitor, helping terrorists hijack a shipment of nuclear weapons. And who's brought in as a member of her team? None other than the sexy Brit. Despite efforts to keep her distance, Tyler finds herself breaking her rules and falling for Owen. And Owen isn't as he seems. Hiding his true motives and identity seems only the tip of the iceberg as witnesses start dying and evidence disappears. Owen and Tyler must work together to find the mole among them before a catastrophic disaster occurs.

This is Book Three in the A-Tac series, which is an elite CIA unit masquerading as faculty at an Ivy League college. Dark Deceptions and Dangerous Desires came before this book. It is not necessary to read the series in order, as these books are stand alone, but I suggest doing so as you'll get more out of the experience.

I love a book series that ends with a bang and not a whimper, which this one very much did. As with the first two books, the characters were charming, the action fast-paced, and the romance hot. This is an author who knows how to pace a book and add conflict. If you read the first two books, you won't be disappointed by the mole, either. Bravo! Recommended.

Desperate Deeds is the third book in the A-TAC series by Dee Davis and a Romantic Suspense from Forever, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing.

Book Blurb:

As the demolitions expert for A-TAC, a black-ops CIA unit masquerading as Ivy League faculty, Tyler Hanson has two great loves: literature and explosives. She lives by the motto "Duty First" and doesn't have time for personal attachments...until a steamy one-night stand turns into a professional partnership.

Burned by Betrayal

When Tyler meets Owen Wakefield, a handsome British operative, she seduces him with no intention of ever seeing him again. But then the sexy Brit is brought into A-TAC, and despite Tyler's efforts to keep her distance, she finds herself falling for him. Trusting him.

Owen seems too good to be true - and he is. He's hiding his true motives and identity, and no matter how he feels about Tyler, he can't keep her secrets. One of A-TAC's members has turned traitor and helped terrorists to hijack a shipment of nuclear weapons. As witnesses start dying and evidence starts disappearing, Owen and Tyler must race to find the mole - and prevent a final, cataclysmic act of destruction.

Desperate Deeds was submitted for review and I retain my copy.

Tyler Hanson is the munitions specialist for A-TAC. For the last ten years she has put together and taken apart anything that goes boom - and she is very good at her job.

America and Britain have been secretly working on nano tech nuclear detonators. When it comes time to move those detonators into British hands, Tyler is assigned to lead transport.

But something goes wrong and the detonators are stolen.

Owen Wakefield is assigned to meet the transport and take the detonators into British possession. When the transport is late, and then doesn't show at all - Owen is part of the team that goes in search of the transport.

What Owen finds is worrisome to say the least - the detonators are gone and it looks like an inside job.

Tyler and Owen, along with the rest of A-TAC must find the traitor and recover the detonators before they can be used.

Desperate Deeds was an enjoyable read, fast paced and well written. I have to say that I like the way Ms. Davis writes - it flows very well. :)

I give Desperate Deeds 3 out of 5 stars.

Overall Rating: 4.95 // Action: 5 / Emotion: 4.75 / Romance: 4.5 / Sensuous: 4.25 / Intrigue: 5 // Humor: 1 / Tears: 3

Dee Davis's The A-Tac Series has become a favorite. Any reader who loves military romantic suspense books will love this series. Although it is not critical to understand the development of the story line in Desperate Deeds (Book Three), interesting background information about the A-Tac team is presented in Book One, Dark Deceptions, and Book Two, Dangerous Desires. In these two books, the team has been encountering elements of sabotage during their missions that indicate they may have a traitor in their midst. The pursuit of that traitor takes up the majority of the plot line in Desperate Deeds .

There was something about this A-Tac Series that just really grabbed and held my attention. Features about Desperate Deeds that were so enthralling and engaging, include: {1} The massive amounts of action that pervaded the book. {2} The dual sense of nail-biting suspense: (a) who was the mole and (b) would the hero and heroine be able to find him/her/them in time to prevent a catastrophic event. {3} An emotionally wounded, hunky, alpha hero strong enough to stand up to the heroine. {4} An attractive, smart, independent heroine who knows what she wants and won't settle for less. {5} Spicy, heated, magical love scenes that include an emotional connection as well as a sexual one. {6} The inclusion of the entire A-Tac team as interesting secondary characters. {7} The inclusion of additional secondary characters who are connected to the heroine's personal background (i.e., her father and brother). {8} The two things that always count in fiction: (a) the good guys win, and (b) the boy gets the girl (and lives happily ever after).

Love this series. Cannot wait to read future installments (scheduled for 2011 and 2012). A more detailed, spoiler-ridden synopsis/review of Desperate Deeds appears at Wolf Bear Does Books.

Tyler Hanson is an demolitions expert for A-Tac. A-Tac is a black ops CIA unit. Tyler is called upon to help with a wepons transfer. Things go wrong when they are ambushed and the two guards with Tyler are killed. Tyler is shot twice but after being injured in her last mission she has taken to wearing a vest. Being the only surviver some people think Tyer may have had a hand in the ambush. After getting treatmen for her injuries, Tyler goes back to her hotel to wait for her flight home the next morning. She goes to the hotel bar and ends up doing something she has never done before. She seduces Owen, the British agent. She belives this is just a one night stand and that she will never see him again. Owen Wakefield is sent undercover to A-Tac to look for a traitor. The agents at A-Tac know there is a traitor in their mist and are determined to find him or her themselves. When Tyler finds out Owen is now a team member she is determined to stay away from him. But she is assigned by her boss to be partners with Owen. The attraction between the two of them is off the charts and the others see the sparks fly whenever the two are in the same room. it seem that anyone who had a conection with the case is being killed. They need to find the traitor before anyone else dies and prove Tyler is innocent of any wrong doing.

This is the third installment of Ms Davis's A-Tac series. This series is fast-paced and action packed. Each book is different so that you never get bored. You will not want to put this book down until you have read the last page. I , for one, can not wait to see what Ms Davis will bring us next. This book is a keeper. I don't keep books unless I will reread them and I will be reeading them until the next book comes out,

I really liked this one. There was so much going on it kept me turning the pages. Right of the bat the story gets going and it doesn't really slow down.

I liked Tyler, she was tough (very tough) but she was also still a woman and had a softer side to her. There were a few times when she would do something uncharacteristic and she would think to herself "There's the woman in me." I also liked Owen, I had a picture of Sean Connery as James Bond for him. I think that comes from the fact that Tyler kept comparing him to James Bond, and since Sean is my favorite Bond that's who I picture. Very Sexy :-)

Like I said the story is very fast paced. The writing is really good, I could get lost into this one. In my head it played out like a movie, I could see everything in the settings. The writing was so good that the descriptions really brought everything to life. Normally when I read it's more of an emotional connection and I only picture the character that's being described, not the entire scene. But with this one I had everything in the images in my head. It really makes it seem less like I'm reading and more like I'm watching a movie.

I liked the A-Tac "hiding" place. It was really neat that the group runs a college to keep their true purpose hidden. I thought that was a really neat twist. The first time Tyler is on campus I couldn't figure out why, but when Davis explains it I really got into the idea.

I will have to pick up more of Dee Davis' books. And since this was part of a series I think I'll have to start with the first two installments. I really got drawn into this one!

Favorite Quote: "It was a fantasy and she knew it.
But that didn't change the power of the act or the magic of the man."

In Dee Davis's thrilling 3rd installment, Desperate Deeds, we meet Tyler Hanson. A Demolitions expert in a secret black ops unit A-TAC, she has two loves; bombs and literature. When her mission goes wrong, Tyler finds herself under suspicion. She meets British op Owen Wakefield and decides to seize the moment and seduce him for the night. Not planning on seeing him again, she is shocked to discover he has been brought in to help A-Tac find out what happened on Tyler's mission. Though Tyler tries to keep her distance she cannot help but continue to fall for Owen. But Owen Wakefield is not who he seems. Forced to keep his true identity and motives a secret, Owen has been called to infiltrate and discover who the traitor is in A-Tac. His one night of passion has him feeling Taylor is innocent of any wrong doing, but evidence is mounting up against her. When witnesses start dying and evidence disappearing Owen and Taylor put aside their feelings and race against time to find answers before the traitor strikes again.

Dee Davis writes a thrilling continuation of the A-TAC team that provides plenty intrigue, suspense, and romance.A strong dialog and a fast well written action packed storyline is sure to appeal to a wide variety of readers.

My Review:
In a Military Suspense novel, you know that there is going to be some suspense... Are our hero/heroine going to make it to their happily-ever-after alive? Who's the bad guy? Who else is going to die?

This book took the suspense part of the equation seriously. I think that the final body count of the good guys dead ended up being 7-3...*ack!* I lost track of how many times the heroine was attacked...I think that it was pretty much every day in the book. It all got to be a bit much- not that the book wasn't good- but the suspense seemed to take priority over the romance in this story...and I wanted more of the romance because I really loved Owen and Tyler, esp. together, but I needed MORE. Flat out, this book needed to be longer so that we could have more of them developing their relationship.

Owen is a British spec ops officer with a past- and not a happy one. He also is hiding a HUGE secret. He's not happy either professionally or personally, but that all changes when he interacts with Tyler.

Tyler has been with A-TAC since almost it's inception and she is dealing with the devastating idea that there is a traitor within while dealing with her attraction to Owen and her own feelings of guilt over the ops that have gone wrong. There is a LOT going on here and a lot that she is having to deal with.

It's a good book...riveting... and it keeps you guessing. Like I said, the only thing that I would change about it is that I wish we could have had MORE of Owen and Tyler and more on the development of their relationship.

Book Three in the A-Tac series was just as good as the others. Suspenseful and exciting! Tyler almost dies in an ambush that she didn't see coming – and should have, while two other people do die. This leads some people to believe that she might have set them up to die. Now Tyler has to defend herself, while also trying to find the real team member who has betrayed the others.

In a moment of weakness she has a one-night stand with Owen, someone who has many, many secrets – one of which will devastate Tyler. But she must still work with him in order to clear her name and save others from unnecessary deaths.

At the same time she's trying to understand and sort out her feelings for this man, who isn't who she thinks he is. Keeping her personal feelings separate from her current work assignment is difficult.

Dee Davis writes a fast-paced book, which kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. She writes really good, and believeable-to-me suspense novels about the secret-undercover world. I was disappointed for the trilogy to end, because the characters were really enjoyable.

Tyler (teaches classes as a cover) and Owen (he's on the perimeter of the group) As the demolitions expert for A-Tac, a black-ops CIA unit masquerading as Ivy League faculty, Tyler Hanson has two great loves: literature and explosives. She lives by the motto "Duty First" and doesn't have time for personal attachments . . . until a steamy one-night stand turns into a professional partnership.

From My Blog...[return][return]Dee Davis does it once again with her third A-Tac suspense novel Desperate Deeds. Having read and reviewed the two previous novels in the series, Dark Deceptions and Dangerous Desires, I would say Davis has outdone herself with Desperate Deeds. Each A-Tac novel can easily stand alone, however, once one is read, the reader will want to read the others, they truly are that good. Davis brilliantly masters the genre of suspense and adds in her own twist of romance in such a way that it does not detract from the plot. The characters are believable and people who would be interesting to at least meet. They are charming, clever, deceptive, and lethal, and yet still work their way into the reader’s heart; most of them anyway. This time around the team has added a British agent who is quite secretive and the team has a rogue agent who must be flushed out. Desperate Deeds is filled with enough plot twists to delight any suspense fan and I would not hesitate to recommend this book to anyone.

Desperate Deeds by Dee Davis
A-Tac #3
Published by Forever - August 2, 2010
Romantic Suspense

Desperate Deeds by Dee Davis is the 3rd book in the A-Tac series. Though it is part of a series it could easily be read as a stand alone. It is a very enjoyable read. The story is well written and interesting. It captures your interest from the first page. It is fast paced and filled with action, suspense and romance. The characters have depth and are well written, you can easily understand where they were coming from. Tyler makes a great heroine. She is a strong woman with a good head on her shoulders. She tells it like she sees it and isn’t afraid to admit her mistakes. Owen is a good match for her. The romance between them flows nicely with the story. It was a very good book ands holds you interests throughout, you won’t want to put it down. Desperate Deeds is recommended for fans of Romantic Suspense.

I received this book from free from Goodreads First Reads.

Tyler and Owen are the main characters in this book. Tyler works for A-Tac and she is transporting a detonator. The detonator was hi-jacked and the 2 men that were with the detonator were killed and Tyler was knocked out. Tyler and Owen are working together trying to locate the detonator and they knew that there was a mole in the A-Tac team that they had to find out who it was. This is the 3rd book in the A-Tac Series and the 2nd book that I have read by Dee Davis. This book can be read by itself or with the series. I found that this book was pretty good but I did like Dangerous Desires much better. It took me a little while to get into this story but after reading for a couple chapters it caught my attention pretty good. The book is well written and has good details with the characters and I will be reading more of her books.
