How To Stop Overthinking: And Start Getting Sh*t Done

Rate this book
Whatever you tilt the mind toward becomes the mind's tendency.

Overcoming negative thinking and overthinking is a choice to tap into what is deepest and truest inside ourselves, to know ourselves better, to be more confident, and to be ourselves fully.

Through my journey, I have learned to let go of a lot of inner turmoil, struggle and overthinking and tap into more wholeness, resilience, and well-being.

My thoughts, I realized, were causing a lot of my trouble. I had these amazing moments in which I was able to pull back from my thoughts and relate to them in such a completely different way that they lost their power over me. I felt empowered because I learned I had far more control over my situation than I had previously believed. So I threw my energy, time, and devotion into these practices, and within a year and a half, my mental state changed dramatically.

This transformation affected the quality of my life, the people I surrounded myself with, the work I did, how I interacted with my family, and what I believed was achievable for me. It was a major change, and my life would never be the same again.

However, I still experience regular human ups and downs, hurts, stress and hardships. Life can be messy at times! But I've learned to suffer a lot less by tapping into a source of power I had no idea I had.

We can't control what happens, but we can choose how we think about what happens and how we react to it.

Most human suffering comes from overthinking & negative thoughts. This is not meant to dismiss or minimize anything you have experienced or are experiencing. Many of us have been through harrowing ordeals. This is all the more reason not to inflict more pain on an already unpleasant situation.

The mind is changed and rewired by whatever we do, whatever we think, and how we act every day. We can train the mind to suffer less and to be happier. We may believe we are locked in our patterns & our pain. But it's amazing how quickly things can change.
