I re-read this after my beloved Pharaoh Hound, Ramses, died. Unfortunately, my poor Ramses did not make it to the typical minimum approximate age before he died. He was just short of his 9th birthday when he had a very bad spinal disconnection and he had no control over his back end.

This book is a great overview about the typical traits that Pharaoh Hounds have. My Ramses was different than described in this book. He wasn't brave like they are described in this book, he was a scared-y cats (no offense to cats, I have one, they are precious). In case I forget he was scared of the wind and butterflies, but devoted to me. My poor baby. May you rest in peace, Ramses, and I'll meet you again over the Rainbow Bridge.
