Here's some great literature to fill your young reader's book bag. Backpack Books combine four complete stories--whether biographies, classics, or fiction--into one cool package. They're great for reading at home, school, in the car...anywhere! All stories are wholesome and God-honoring, and ideal for kids ages eight to twelve.
What makes an adventure? Excitement, suspense, and surprises! You'll find plenty of each in these four classic stories. Each of these Christian Adventures is rewritten especially for younger readers:
BEN-Hur dreams only of vengeance on the hated Roman Empire that made him a slave. But then he meets a fellow jew by the name of Jesus... (originally written by Lew Wallace, 1880)
The Pilgrim's Progress tracks the perilous journey of a man called "Christian" as he encounters both enemies and pitfalls on his way to the incredible Celestial City. (originally written by John Bunyan and published in February, 1678.)
Robinson Crusoe lives through a shipwreck and finds himself on a deserted island. He'll need faith in God to keep him alive on such dangerous ground. (originally written by Daniel Defoe, first published in 1719.)
The Swiss Family Robinson prays to survive a terrible storm at sea. God answers their prayer-but now they're trapped on a lonely island... (originally written by Johann David Wyss, published in 1812)
Four classic stories, one great book. Take these exciting tales with you-and enjoy the drama of Christian Adventures!
Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).
If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.
Note: WorldCat is an excellent resource for finding author information and contents of anthologies.
