This is a counting book with pages for 1 through 10. The main book only shows the numeral and the illustration. It's not explicitly telling you what to count, but it's otherwise inflexible as a counting book (and even then, it's pretty clear what you're "supposed" to count). There's a spread at the very end with written descriptions in English and Spanish of each page.
The only counters I didn't immediately recognize were the Cadillac Ranch Cadillacs. Some kids might also not recognize bluebonnets (or I guess the lone star).
