STAND BY FOR AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

description

This information is prominently displayed on the back cover and on the copyright page. It was just that important.

The book itself? Only Daniel Pinkwater would feel the need to mythologize the life of a stray dog that used to live in Hoboken. It's okay- probably more interesting if you're from Hoboken. And the illustrations (sorry, Daniel) are horrible. Pinkwater was more successful when he experimented with technology on The Muffin Fiend.

In which we find out how Jolly Roger becomes the king of the waterfront after growing up on the Matilda Magoo...how do The Kid and Marvin the Ape figure into the legend?

Another great one from the master.
