Adam Blade is the house name for the Working Partners Ltd. ghostwriters who write the Beast Quest and Sea Quest series.
Adam Blade is in his late twenties, and was born in Kent, England. His parents were both history teachers and amateur artists, and Adam grew up surrounded by his father’s paintings of historic English battles – which left a lifelong mark on his imagination. He was also fascinated by the ancient sword and shield that hung in his father’s office. Adam’s father said they were a Blade family heirloom.
As a boy, Adam would spend days imagining who could have first owned the sword and shield. Eventually, he created a character – Tom, the bravest boy warrior of them all. The idea for Beast Quest was born.
When Adam grew up and decided that he wanted to be a writer, he was stuck for ideas – until he remembered the old sword and shield, and the imaginary boy he had created when he was young. Adam decided to bring Tom fully to life so that readers could go on the kind of adventures that he always wanted to when he was that age… And still does, even though he’s grown up!
When he’s not writing Beast Quest books, Adam enjoys visiting museums and ancient battle sites. His main hobbies are fencing and football. He also spends a lot of time at home running around after his two exotic pets – a tarantula named Ziggy, and a capuchin monkey named Omar. These little rascals were the inspiration for two of the Beasts that Tom faces on his Quest – Arachnid and Claw.
Sadly, Adam does not have his own Fire-Dragon or Horse-Man. But he really wishes he did!
In this book, the ghostwriters forget about Tom's talismans from Gwildor (and continue to forget about them at least as far as the fourth book in the set, the current, at time of review, book that I'm on) and the sword Elenna got during the previous book, Elena loses her bow when palace guards take it at the gate, and would've lost her new sword too if the ghostwriters had remembered it existed, and Tom loses his sword and shield, with all of his Avantian Beast tokens with it. Later, Tom gets Elenna a crossbow, but no bolts, from a different guard and replaces his gear with crappier, non-magical versions. Let's see how long the ghostwriters remember that Elenna doesn't have a bow anymore. Spoilers, exactly this book. They don't even remember *in this book* that she doesn't have any bolts for the crossbow, though since I don't believe she actually fires it at all, it's entirely possible that she had exactly one bolt: the bolt that was already loaded into it when Tom took it off the guard. And for some reason Tom's Amulet doesn't appear to work as a map anymore so he needs to be given a new magic map. Though, considering the Good Wizard for this book set gives them a map before they've even thought about the need for one, the Amulet might still work and Tom doesn't bother trying simply because he's already been given a new one. No points are subtracted for the Amulet because it's a distinct, if unconfirmed, probability. Points are subtracted for the other inconsistencies. The book does get enough bonus points for killing off a named, non-prologue character to push it to 3 stars though.

🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌 out of 🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌 The reason why is because I like beast quest books, and Convol was very adventurous and was a great opportunity to read. I know I didn't waste any of my time reading this.
I would reccomend it to my friends and in future ,if you've got the book,it will be nice to gift it to someone else. And who knows, somewone else might have enjoyed it as much as you did.
I like how at the start, there is a plot twist and they arrive in this mysterious world because it really brings mystery to the story. I also think he describes the settings and the characters. Finally, I like how some parts of the story are very unexpected, for example the start of the story.
I liked this book because I thought the beast was very cool. I didn't like this book because Tom almost failed. I also liked how the land of Tavania is the opposite of Avantia.
