The one minute manager series is always my go to book when I have a gap in my reading habit. This book is simple and motivating. Easy to read and understand. Would recommend this book for people who expect a nudge to motivate themselves to take control of their lifestyle.

*Book written at 3rd grade reading-level.

*Common sense portrayed in fake stories featuring Holmes&Watson-esque dialogue.

*Summary of book can be spanned in 3 pages or less.

*Now I understand the broad appeal among managers.

*Read at your own peril.

This is a book that I actually could not put down till I finished it. The story-telling style through which Blanchard presented his ideas was exciting. The book is a must read for any businessman/businesswoman who claims 24/7 business commitments prevent him/her from looking after health and ‘Tone’, as the book describes it, by doing little exercise and having healthy meals.

I believe Blanchard in this book has proved through logic, facts, and benefits what it pays back to start looking after one’s health and exercising. From personal to corporate level, how good ‘Tone’ can have a domino effect on other stress moderators and eventually on the job performance. Healthy employees are better for the organization as they are more productive.

I like how the book shows the strong relationship between well-being and the bottom line of a business. Besides, the book makes it clear to readers that commitment to one’s resolution is vital to achieve goals and equally important is the family’s, colleagues’, and friends’ support to make change happens.

Having said that, I see the book as a warning sign for all of us to take care of our health for better well-being and for better productivity levels.

A great motivation to exercise but the title is balancing work and life. Life is more than just exercise and work, especially for anyone that has a family.

I’ve never known anyone who at 10pm would pop to the shops and end up at a diner eating a cheese burger and 3 glasses of milk. Surely anyone with a good career would already have the self discipline not to do such things. The examples were therefore quite poor but the message was good.

It has got me exercising more but it still doesn’t integrate family into the picture. Any only covers two of the big 3. Health, Wealth and Happiness being the big 3.

nie przemawia do mnie ten styl opowiesci przez praktycznie same dialogi. Bardziej czulem sie jakbym mial sie zainspirowac do schudniecia i zmienienia tybu zycia na zdrowszy, niz do pozytywnej zmiany mindsetu w aspektach, ktore mnie interesuja. Jak ktos jest otyly i ma slabe wyniki badan to serdecznie polecam, jesli ktos szuka inspiracji i samorozwoju, odradzam. 1/10

People who feel good about themselves, produce good results.

I couldn’t agree more with the whole statements of this book. It taught me how I can best guide my goals to achieve the desired result. It’s more about management.

A simple book that supposed to have explained how to balance work and life, but instead loses it's way and focuses more on committing towards being healthy.

Elementary and a vain attempt!

3.5 stars. I enjoyed this read as it was short and easy to get through but it really goes over the same things that most of these types of books do. I will say that for such a short book its definitely worth the read even if its just to remind yourself of some important concepts you might've forgotten along the way.

I really like The One Minute Manager and The One Minute Manager Meets the Monkey but most of these "One Minute" books are quite similar so I wouldn't necessarily suggest going out and buying any of them. Check them out from the library or borrow from a friend.

It's a simple book explaining positive influence of exercising on your thinking ability and overall fettle.
Above sentence might seem trivial, but still a lot of people forgot about physical aspects of their lifes, which leads to higher and higher level of stress and decrease of their productivity.
Ken Blanchard explains role of healthy lifestyle as well as gives necessaries tips how to fight possible obstacles and how our mates and family could help us with that.

A simple engaging read that hits the nail on the head every page. Many of the scenarios mentioned are very real and likely faced by most people who are trying to make a change with regardless to their fitness and lifestyle. I'm encouraged and inspired by how the One Minute Manager overcame all his challenges!

It wasn't a life-changing book at all, just a book about a manager who gets motivated to work his body, his family helps him, with daily little steps, in the end he achieves a good physical condition.

This book had a different title in its previous incarnation: the one-minute manager gets fit. That is a much better title and says what the book is really about, so I was quite disappointed with it. Having said that, the book is a good read and has some useful advice.

Читал одну из версий Одноминутного менеджера. Книги относятся к тому классу американской бизнес-литературы, которая оперирует идеальными моделями, идеальными ситуациями, идеальными менеджерами. От этого и доверия к такой модели невелико.
