An art book. From it's size you might think it's a coffee table book.

But it's really a memoir. You may know Martin Mull as an actor and (maybe) as the man behind a string of really funny albums that came out in the mid-70s.

But before that he's an artist. He studied art at the Rhode Island School of Design and got sidetracked into the entertainment business.

In this book he tells how he decided to reassess his artistic career. Through a series of pictures he shows where he's going. The "words" tell just why.

I've met him on two occasions and seen him perform live a few times. I'll have to treasure those memories because I'll never be able to afford to own even one of his paintings.

I hear that Steve Martin owns a bunch of them. He can afford to.
