I wanted to read this story line because I liked the character of Deathlok in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show. I knew there would be differences in this version and I was very correct.
While this version of Deathlok wasn’t too bad, I just didn’t connect with him emotionally. And the time-travel aspect of the story fell a little flat, especially since Days of Future Past was just so good.
The best part of this story was Steve’s internal monologue and how he isn’t as confident as he looks from the outside.
I wouldn’t consider this an essential read unless you really wanted to read everything containing either character.

Solidly written and drawn comics, but they're a little out of Captain America's typical milieu and they seem like Deathlok's comic, with Captain America guest starring.
