LOVE this book. I am learning a tremendous amount about bees and what they do for a living. Bees rock my world.

What a great book. It almost makes me want to keep a hive or two. Almost. For now, I will continue to enjoy the fruits/honey of others labors.

A helpful introduction. Some parts seemed a bit superficial or didn't seem all that relevant, but an easy read, and very beautifully presented.

The clear writing and helpful overview of this hobby enabled me to make a decision about whether or not beekeeping is a realistic option for me.

Really short and scant on details/procedures, though it does get an extra star for having some awesome scientific content :)

This book provides an overview and introduction to beekeeping without delving too deeply into technical specifics. In tone and design it seems intended for people who are curious about or have a casual interest in the subject of beekeeping. Since that is the category into which I fall, it was an excellent choice for me.

One design element I particularly appreciated was that all images in the book were line drawings. It helped to maintain a cohesive aspect to the book's design that a mixture of line drawings and photographs would not have accomplished.

What a shame that there is no cover image because it is a beautiful book. Good information. A good book for a begining beekeeper or for someone that just wants to be informed about God's beautiful creatures.

A simple, easy to read introduction for the novice beekeeper. It gives information on starting a hive all the way through harvesting the honey. The are several recipes for honey as well as other uses.

Makes me want to keep some bees.

I didn't know Burt's Bees is a NC company. Cool.
