US terms. My go-to when I need pointers and reminders. Clear, consistent patterns to take you from the basics to intermediate with modernised classic wearables, decor and useful gifts/market items. I've made one pattern a few times now, and another once and ended up quite chuffed with the results for all. It has increased my crochet confidence, so now aiming to work my way from first Cozy Crochet pattern to last coz I can't decide which pattern to do next. Love your work Melissa.

Easy learn to crochet with fun projects

The book begins, as most craft books, with an explanation of how to do basic steps for beginners, which it does well. The projects are of different skill levels and a creative and cute. I recommend it for beginner and new crocheters.

This would be a perfect book for an adult beginner or a patient child to learn. The first section outlines all the skills needed and the first chapter has two fast and easy projects that don't need to be perfect to be used. The rest of the book has projects all ranked from skill levels 2 to 3. There is a good mix of small and large projects to suit your level of commitment and ideas for gifts. Introductions to different materials from fabric strips to wire add interest.

I am an expert at crocheting I was looking for a book to recommend to my niece who is learning to crochet. The stitch instruction looked ok but the patterns are dated (1970ish)and the instructions within the patterns were not well done. Also the layout of the book not show the pictures in a good place in relation to the patterns. I will continue looking for a good book to recommend.

This is a fairly comprehensive "get you going" crochet book. It begins with the basics of the techniques needed to start crocheting and has a nice sampling of patterns from accessories to home decor, a sweater, and baby blanket.

The patterns are fun and girly. I enjoy making the patterns in this book, even if the style is kind of teenagery (is that a word? you know what I mean). All of the patterns are pretty easy, so beginners can enjoy making lots of neat project that they can use, wear or gift.

The illustrations showing the basics are excellent. The projects themselves are rather boring and kinda dated, even the color ways are dowdy. So disappointed there. Photographs are decent. This might be a good book for beginners but Erika Knight's book on home decor is a better choice.

I don't think that anyone could learn to crochet from this book. The projects didn't look too modern or appealing to me.
