It's St. Patrick's Day in Green Lawn. Bradley, Brian, Nate, and Lucy dress up a leprechaun statue for the town's yearly contest. They leave it out on the porch overnight, but the next morning, it's missing Who is behind the mischief? It will take four kids and the luck of the Irish to find out. Ron Roy perfectly captures the reading level and interest of the earliest chapter book readers in thisexciting spinoff of his popular A to Z Mysteries series. "From the Trade Paperback edition."
Ron Roy has been writing books for children since 1974. He is the author of dozens of books, including the popular A to Z Mysteries®, Calendar Mysteries, and Capital Mysteries. When not working on a new book, Ron likes to teach tricks to his dog Pal, play poker with friends, travel, and read thrilling mystery books.
This was an enjoyable read. This is the third book in the Calendar Mysteries series. In this book, it is St. Patrick’s Day, and Bradley, Brian, Nate and Lucy are decorating a leprechaun statue. They leave it overnight on the porch, only to find it missing the next day. Will they be able to find who the mischief is? I find it interesting how each month has its unique word. For example, March is for Michief, hence the title of the story is March Mischief. Although it is a middle-grade story, I thought it was really cute. I thought the story was short and fun. I thought the characters were sweet and funny. I thought the ending was sweet. I will definitely continue to read this series. I can’t wait to read Book 4. Overall, a great read.
March Mischief Publisher: Random House New York Time: 40min + 20min(Mysteries According to Humphrey) 7-word summary: March St.Patrick's Day friends leprechaun stolen theft Passage I like: "Well, if the mayor picks the smelliest statue, we should win." The statue they made wore old sweater so it smelled bad. I thought this passage is fun.
I couldn't understand very well on first book (Mysteries According to Humphrey) but I enjoyed this book. I like mystery story. I didn't know about St.Patrick's Day very well so it was interesting to read.
In this 3rd book in the series, Lucky, a local college kid whom everyone likes, is arrested for stealing people's leprechauns. The kids are helping to solve the mystery of who really stole the leprechauns.
I read the original A-Z Mystery stories when I was a little kid and greatly enjoyed them, I had only ever gotten to the Letter T, so I figured this year I would re-read and actually complete the series all this time later, and I was delighted to learn that Ron Roy has continued on the Green Lawn Mysteries and characters, and gone on with Calendar Mysteries and the A-Z Super Mysteries, which I will get to reading later on.
This series of 12 books focuses on the younger relatives of the Main Characters of the original series, and it's charming and fun to see the adventures they all get up to in this fun additional series.
This is a spin-off series from the A to Z Mysteries, embracing the love kids have of simple mystery books, this simple mystery is solved quite easily. It has a decent pace, characters that grow over the course of the book, and a decent though formulaic plot. This makes a good transitional chapter book for young readers.
Bradley and Brian wake up to find their Leprechaun is missing from their front porch. They receive a mysterious phone call saying Lucky O'Leary has stolen their Leprechaun. A few other residents have had their Leprechauns stolen as well. Bradley, Brian, Lucy, and Nate don't believe Lucky stole the Leprechaun, but who did? In this installment, the children's leprechaun is stolen and they have to try to unravel the mystery. They discover who stole the statue, but then there is a further mystery as the leprechaun itself has disappeared. They have to try to recover the statue before the St. Patrick's day festival.
I love these mysteries. They’re such cute stories and fun mysteries. This one involves a missing leprechaun statue dressed as a basset hound. I can’t wait to read the next one.

A prank within a prank leads to a mystery where an innocent man, framed for a crime he didn't commit, must be rescued by the young detectives. The only way out of jail is to find the true thief before it's too late! Silly fun that makes you want to decorate a leprechaun.

Now it up to the other 3 to help a needed friend. If intersected in this book or mysteries, I recommended you to read this book or read the A-Z MYSTERIES Series.
This is the third book in the Calendar Mysteries, starring the younger relatives of our beloved Dink, Josh and Ruth Rose. The mysteries are a little more fun, less dangerous and easier to solve. The stories are a bit shorter and good for younger readers who are just starting to read chapter books. This story has a St. Patrick's Day theme.
I'm reading this with my 2nd grader. She will only let us read one chapter a night, maybe two, and I can't wait to find out what happened to the missing leprechans!
This is a fun, simple, short book for younger readers. My children, ages 7 and 10, both really enjoyed it. Silly and funny and quick with a few fun pictures thrown in.
