The book I read was vanished by marc Tyler nobleman. This book is about a series of stories about adults and children running away or being kidnapped. This first story was about a second grader named Erica being kidnapped because of money complications. The second story was about a man named Percy; he got lost in the woods and never came out.

The third story is about a woodsman running away, and the fourth was about a musician that disappeared. The fifth story was about a nature lover getting lost in the dessert, sixth story was about a kindergartener going on a boat with her dad and never returning.

Finally the seventh story was about a lonely pilot crashing a plane, surviving then wishing he didn’t. The genre was a mystery for all of the stories. This book wasn’t a series also; I recommend this book to everybody. All of the stories in the book vanished were true.

I brought this to read with my kids, although after reading it I think it's probably too young for my daughter and a bit old for my sons.

The writing is strange, I'm not sure if it's written deliberately to sound like a child is writing it.
The stories have enough information to keep kids interested, and aren't very long, so they don't get bored.

It is okay, its not funny or anything but its interesting how true it is. Its kind of sad to begin with but it has a happyish ending.

Good book for readers grades 3-8. The author tells the stories of adults and children who have vanished. But not all vanished with sad endings, such as missing pilots. The stories about young children are actually great stories about kids who have overcome great obstacles to survive. Quite encouraging to read about children who use what they have learned to survive challenging situations.

Summary:

Vanished True Stories of the Missing is a book based on multiple true mysteries. These have happened in the world, but aren’t as well known as stories like Amelia Earhart’s. All the stories go back in history from 1925-2009 and are placed all over the world. In the many stories there is, some of the people return while others will disappear forever. You will meet a little girl who is kidnapped in a basement in Pennsylvania. You will also meet a musician named Henry Grimes who took off and didn't want to be apart of the music world he once introduced to everyone. One more person you will come across is Everett Ruess. Everett is one of the most outdoorsy people ever, and when he decides to take a trip far away, it doesn't work out as he expected!

Review:

I think this was a very good book. It was more of an easy read but defiantly worth it. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries or stories like Amelia Earhart’s. All the stories were very interesting and I couldn't put it down. My favorite story, was the first one in the book. It is about a little girl who gets kidnapped in a basement and has to fight for herself for a few days. The author also defiantly used a lot of figurative language. Overall I would give this book five stars!

Biography

The book tells of people who were brave enough to escape and to dive in from the cruelty of the world. One guy could be a friend, husband, father who made a difference in their lives and in others. The world only knows him as a myth or the movie star Indiana Jones. This shows that people in our society need to know the real heroes of our past. A girl trapped in a world of darkness brings light to the hearts of many. This proves that anyone who has faith, hope and love within their hearts can overcome any obstacle. Overall, if you have the strength for something or to change your future go ahead and break free.

I really like the book Vanished, it was a page turner!!! I would recommend this book from ages 10 through 14. The stories hooks you to the point where you can't put it down. It gives strong supporting details in the text. I encourage you to go read the book if you like factual information. The author did a very good job in engaging you throughout the whole book about the missing. All in all, a well-done book should be recognized for its perfection.

This book vanished is different stories on people either disappearing for a time of their life or they just literary vanish. For example the beginning story is about a girl getting kidnapped. She had to find a way to get out the place where she was. Another story in this book it is about a man doing something that made many people very angry, so he left and tried to kayak to Asia from Alaska. They found his kayak on the shoreline of a beach in Asia but his kayak was pretty banged up so at first they thought that he must've died but then they realized that some tools were at the top of the beach and the water couldn't have washes it up to shore that high up the beach.

These stories from the book, i defiantly cannot connect because i have never actually disappeared from anyone or anything. Plus in this book there are many stories about different things. Also this book takes way back in the 1900's and i wasn't even thought of because my mom wasn't even born either.

This book is really good but i think the stories were either to detailed that it got boring or the stories where to short so what i thought was really interesting had the least amount of information, which i thought was kind of depressing.

this book was a very good book. I like each and every diffrent story.my facirote one is when the two little girls were walking home from school and these men rolled up in this red car.One of the men asked the girls to come over to the car so they did,the man in the drivers seat tryed to pull both little girls into the car but he only manedged to grab one.as the men sped off the little sister went to thier home and started to cry to the mother.the mother asked what happend and she said my sister got kidnapped.the mother and father started to look for her right away.the called the cops but they said that they cant look for intill she has been missing for 24 hours.so the kidnappers brought her to an abanded house just a couple of streets down from her house.they threw her into a deep, dark and damp celler.she started to scream and some boys heard her and went into the house and saved her.

True stories, yes, but most are so dated that kids today wouldn't relate. A WWII disappearance? Why not investigate a case from last year? I was hoping for more stories about kids with gumption that got away, or how justice was served by prosecuting the abductors, etc. This book was disappointing.

I really liked this book. Who knew the author of the Little Prince went missing and no one found his plane until 50 years later? It was a super quick read, but I really liked it.

I give this book a 3.5 stars out of 5 because some stories were boring, and others were compelling. I thought they would be better since it's about missing people

Some of these stories are not as good as others, but I overall it was a pretty good book. The first chapter, the third chapter and the 2nd last chapter are my favorites.

This book is the kind of books I like to read. Always wondering what is going to happen next. Which doesn't come often in anthologies. They are serious true stories which always makes me wonder.

Vanished by Marc Tyler Nobleman is a gripping and inspiring nonfiction book that uncovers the forgotten story of unsung heroes behind iconic works. With a suspenseful narrative and engrossing illustrations, Nobleman presents the forgotten success of individuals who created pop culture but were left out of the spotlight. His thorough research and narrative style make the history personal and relevant, especially to young readers learning about justice, recognition, and perseverance. Vanished is not only informational but also empowering, showing that truth and acknowledgment matter even decades later.

I read this book in middle school and the stories within stick with me to this day. My personal favorite is the tale of Percy Fawcett, a renown explorer who vanished while on an expedition to find a lost city deep in the Amazon rainforest. The tales are told in a vivid, realistic way. This book is perfect for middle schoolers; it balances out a sense of curiosity with a dose of morbid reality.

Seven stories of people (two children and five adults) who had gone missing. The children's stories have positive endings, only one of the adult stories did. The stories give biographical background on the people and also either describe their rescue or the search for clues and what was found. The stories were interesting, but the writing style was very basic, even for a kid's book.

I didn't really like this book. I didn't like this book because I feel like it gave so much away. Going into this book I thought it will give us a story and we will have to try to figure out who and what did it but no. Don't get me wrong the stories in the book were not bad because it's important to know that stuff like this do really happen, I just wish they let us figure out what happens.

An interesting pick of subjects, especially the last one. This is book is really information, which I liked, but sometimes either lacked information about a person or gave too much information. I would recommend this to people who love mysteries and adventure.

Very cool book. Kept away from some of the more obvious cases, such as Amelia Earhart. I put this in my classroom library because I think the kids will enjoy reading it.
