بغض النظر عن موقف الكاتب من العلمانية، فإن عرضه للنماذج التي اختارها كان ذا أسلوب علمي أكاديمي قدم صورة واضحة عن مجموعة من رموز العلمانية، خاصة الأوائل منهم.
