She has over 20 years of practicing as a curandera, mentoring with curanderx and shamans in the Maya Yucatecan jungle, Peru, and Los Angeles, and studying Mesoamerican Curanderismo in academia. She has a master’s degree in religious studies with a focus on Mesoamerican shamanism from the University of California at Riverside.
She utilizes her vast experience in curanderismo, and knowledge of ancient Mesoamerican shamans to reveal how this sacred wisdom can help people heal in very practical ways, and inspire them to create an ideal life for themselves.
As a curandera, she has helped thousands of people heal from many types of traumas and illnesses, and inspired them to discover and live their bliss.
She has taught hundreds of workshops and classes on curanderismo and covers a variety of topics, such as: how to facilitate limpias and read the tools used in the limpias; yerberismo, the spiritual, magical and healing properties of plants; solar and lunar rites of healing, magic, and spirituality; soul retrieval and the cardinal spaces of wisdom and healing; animal co-essences, guides, and teachers; creating and vivifying sacred spaces; shamanic states of consciousness and journeying; and shamanic dreamwork and dreamwork as a spiritual practice.

This is a phenomenal book that any practioner should read, even those curious to work with their ancestors.
