I am one of the oldest demons left walking free in the mortal realm. If I can’t make mortals sin with my seductive looks, I have a well of power coiled inside, waiting for the chance to force them to face their deepest desires. Whether giving vengeful ex’s all the information they need to track down their husband’s mistresses or luring college students to their demise through my body; I never had a problem causing mayhem and havoc until I brought something else home after a sin-filled evening. I wish it had been a poltergeist.

A scream ripped through me as I sent a blast of power out from me, obliterating the top half of Ian's body... I rode out the last of my mind-blowing orgasm around the still-pulsing dick tucked safely inside me. It sure had blown Ian's mind.
Nix is basically a prequel story, giving insight in the life and existence of Nix and some of the demons in her life. At first I wasn't entirely sure why the author wrote this prequel, but once I reached the ending everything became clear. I have to say: I didn't saw that twist coming, and it resulted in me having a ton of questions about what's to come. It put everything I read before that in a new and interesting light, and it actually tempted me to start it again to see if it would alter anything to my reading experience. I might do that as soon as the next part in this series/world releases.
That being said: I believe this prequel does what a good prequel is supposed to do: it paints an interesting world, makes me interested to see what will happen next for Nix and her men, and launches some questions that I'm excited to find the answers to.

Rating: 4.5/5 Spice Lvl: 3/5 TW: demons, angels in compromising positions, open door scenes, swearing, child abuse
OH. MY. GOODNESS! This novella was gifted as a part of a Valentine’s Day event. Going in, I wasn’t expecting any too crazy — just a simple smutty story to pass some time. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was pulled into this story! This story does involve demons and angels, so a small TW for anyone who may be sensitive to those things. I would say the characters are well developed for only a 36 (digital copy). Each one has their own charming personality and that really drove home the WOW factor for me! I love Nix and her story arch (No spoilers here). I love her presence, fierceness, and also softness. It didn’t go the way I had expected, but I’m definitely ready for more!
Nix is the first book in the Heaven and Hell Origins series and is written by Kay Wilder.
💜 angels and demons 💜 mystery 💜 figuring out next steps 💜 🌶🌶 spice
Nix loved how she looked. Blood red hair that was shined and beautiful with blood red lipstick to match made it hard to ignore her. Her high heels were something she had tons of practice wearing as she had been roaming the Earth for a long time. But she felt like things were starting to change for her. She didn’t know what, but they were. Was it time for her to retire from this work? Is that what she really wanted?
This was a fun novella. In such a short time, I got pulled into the book and Nix’s story. Her character build was done really well. There’s enough of a mystery also happening that keeps you coming back for more. This is novella and I can’t wait to dive into the next book to see what happens next.
Nix (female lead character) is a demon who is getting tired from her many centuries of using her powers to ensure humans corrupt their souls and sin... Unknown to her she has a watcher, someone who believes she can be redeemed.
I found this an interesting take on the paranormal world excellent character development..(I seriously want to know more about Dax 😍😍).
Spice level 5 out of 5..
Excellent introduction into this world allowing a quick glimpse into the characters.. And that cliffhanger...just drives you to read more..
Nix is the prequel to the Heaven and Hell Origin series.
What an introduction to this series. Nix is a fierce, fiery demon who has walked the earth for centuries. She has also spent her time seducing and corrupting humans souls and turning them onto a life of sin. But after a while, doing the same thing gets pretty tiring.
This took me a little to get into, but once the pace picked up, I absolutely devoured it in one sitting. It was spicy AF, I mean, literally 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. the world development was absolutely outstanding. Before I knew it, it was finished. Definitely a fantastic intro to this story and to Kay Wilder's books. I can't wait to read more!!
Excuse me?! That's how it ends?! My mouth dropped open as the ending happened and the cliff hanger left me absolutely shocked. It was absolutely intriguing seeing the different pieces of Nix:s life and her past relationship. Meeting all these different and interesting characters along the way was fascinating as well, just seeing how she handled everything. And the spice was downright sexy as hell! Pun intended! Regretting not buying all the books available right away. My only complaint is that I want more of her background and that some of the time/location skips confused me at first. But I'm 100% continuing this series!
This little book is an amazing tease of a larger story yet to come. I loved all the character introductions and the slowly complicating plot, as well as the overall somewhat different and interesting take on a demon romance - at least compared to what I've read in the past!
I am very curious to read Dax's novella, and even more so to see how the larger standalone this is all building to will play out!
If you enjoy strong, confident FMCs, layered world-building, and spicy demon stories, definitely pick this one up!
NIX by Kay Wilder this was a very short steamy novel I really enjoyed the smuttiness that's in this book as well as the characters and it had a little decent plot to it so I couldn't be mad it was it was a great book the past the time got me out of my head and was my first read from K Wilder if you would do have a trigger warnings definitely check the trigger warnings and the books cuz there is some but other than that for me this book was definitely a great solid read for me I do highly recommend this book if you looking for something short spicy and got a good plot
Nix is the introduction to the to the Heaven and Hell Saga.
We meet Nix a female demon who has been breaking souls for decades, reaching the end of her Prime. While considering retirement and a return to Hell we meet prior lovers and learn how she became the Demon she is.
Despite all the souls she sent to Hell a Watcher seems to find something worth saving in her. We are left with a cliffhanger as she wakes with no knowledge of who or what she is.
This is a dark into the world of angels and demons. In this novella, we are getting Nix, the demon FMC’s background and origin. We get the feel for where she came from and why she is the way she is. Meanwhile we get the setup of the world, and the main characters that will come into play. I believe that there will be several novella’s before the main story comes out. It gives us a glimpse into the characters backstories and lives before the story. Its an interesting way to do it. The novella is gritty and dark, and pretty much filled with how you think a demon would act walking the earth wrecking havoc with people’s souls. Its well written and a quick read to tide you over until the main novel comes out.
Nix is a demon, but she is tired of not having connections in the world because of it. When she has allowed herself to love in the past, she’s lost sight of the other things she needs to do. She’s disenchanted and unsure about what she should do next. Different beings keep popping in and out of her life and she gets advice from all of them. Spicy, sometimes sweet, sometimes dark, with a cliffhanger ending, Nix is a great beginning to the series.
Nix is steamy paranormal novella that is prequel to this series. Nix is an old demon who has some interesting powers. But through this she caught the eyes of Kaius who angel is there to stop her. The unexpected ending will not only leave you wanting more but you will definitely some questions. Can’t wait for the next book.
We watch Nix as the strong, independent demon whom had a tough life before she even became a demon.
Nix has always felt alone, looking for companionship. However, every time she gave her heart away she lost sight of what being a demons duties on Earth are. She would give her all of her mates and be dragged back to Hell. This makes Nix fold deeper into herself and abandon the mate she left on Earth.
Definitely can't wait to see what comes next in Nix's story.
What I love about Nix is that she has no shame in what her purpose is. This is a short quick read and is one of several books leading to a why choose book. This gives the background of each of her mates and seeing each one through their eyes with the ending with a little bit of variation.
Our introduction to the demoness Nix. We find out how she became a demoness, how her love for her mates always sent her on a path to pain, and we even meet a few of them, with some mention of others. It's a short read as are all the origins stories leading up to something big. Oh and that last page... BAM!
Wow wow WOW! loved this! A great Novella and what an introduction to the heaven and hell series. It’s got action, it’s got angels and Demons- what’s not to love! I also adored the demoness Nix and getting to understand why she is the way she is, Great tease and great start to lead into the series! Would absolutely recommend! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

The start of the read draws you in and is from the perspective of Nix. It gives you a good start of who the characters is and where she is possibly going. It makes me want to keep reading to see where this story is going to end up and I hope it's leading to a collection of all the characters in one story. Looking forward on the continuation
This was a stunning introduction to Nix, a demon who has been alive for thousands of years. We meet some of the men she has loved in her many years on the Earth. I really enjoyed the demon lore of this world and how the information was given throughout the story as opposed to a huge info dump. Nix is fascinating and I cant wait to find out more about her!
This is an angels and demons story filled with mystery and medium spice. Nix is a strong beautiful woman, that is worldly in so many ways, she has been roaming Earth for many years. Nix is a demon and this is her story where it all began for her and what has driven her and makes her who she is.
This is a short novella that draws you in and has you wanting more.
This was a very interesting back story/introduction to Nix’s character. I still find her a bit of a mystery even after I read this novella so I’d love to read her full story. Nix seems very tortured so I’m hoping she will get an HEA at some point soon!
I wanna know what happens to Nix next!! She was definitely a seductive woman who took what she wanted from a man unless it was Dax or Kaius who took from her but with the mortals she knew their deepest darkest desires before she damned them. I can’t wait to read Dax!!

Kay Wilder Knows how to pull you in and drag you down into her world with her writing. Nix is a top notch if you enjoy reading about demons and the angels who try to save their souls. Nix is the perfect way to introduce us to The Heaven and Hell Saga.
This story was a quick and amazing read. It gave me a lot of great back story on Nix. It also left me with a million questions. I am looking forward to eventually having my questions answered.
Not really my thing, but if you are looking for a spicy dark romance with multiple types of supernaturals, from vampires and demons to angels, this may be for you.
A unique and great teaser. Nix is bad a**, we read about her different encounters. The past mixed with the present and then that cliffy had me going wait what? I’m going need book now to curb my curiosity and answers to the questions in my head.
Nothing makes me fall in love with a book quicker than a FMC with red hair and of course being a demon, same thing sorta…. Sorry mom.
If I have to wait any longer to finish the rest of these books I really might cry, just saying. This book was very short but moved a long way up to one of my top favorites of the year, Even with a cliffhanger like that. I am in love. So glad I found this series!
