It contains informative photographs and charts to illustrate how the many types of fingerprints are classified, what the tools used for fingerprinting are, and how the millions of on-record prints are filed at the FBI.

Wow, what a horrible book. This one was required for my training...I wanted to poke my eyes out trying to get through it. I did read the 1978 edition, though, so maybe the newer one is better
If you truly hate someone, make them read this book specifically the 1978 edition. It takes an enjoyable, and fansinating field and boils in down to mind numbing boredom. If it wasn't required reading for training or IAI certification, I would take my copy and light on fire.
