Interesting blend of adventure/crime novel and character study, imbued with keen observations about class struggles and the effects of abuse. Even though I suspected the sort-of twist it still caught me off guard.

Bought this at a used bookstore just for the title. I wanted it to end differently but it ended the only way it could. Couldn’t stop reading it.

Book was ok. Read it if you are bored. Good writing through some of it, but just kind of anticlimatic, which I guess is what it was supposed be so he did a good job of that.
